He looks tentative, isn't shooting it particularly well, and it was obvious in tonight's post game comments that Tink's isn't happy with the leadership of his seniors, and if you read between the lines, it wasn't hard to see he was directing those comments to Kareem.
Kareem has so much talent and love his overall game. His desire and attitude are very inconsistent. Hutchison was not expected to be a main leader of this team. He did step up in OT though with a couple nice buckets, and solid defense. Deshields and Gregory are the true leaders of this team. Dunn will be a great leader too. Maybe Kareem has head in an NBA future? He is on the NBA radar. Whatever it is, he needs to find what he is missing. He is expected to be the leader. The last four years we never doubted the leadership with AJ, Cherry, Ward, Qvale, and Selvig. This year, leadership is missing one SR. Come on Kareem, you are better than this!!!!
On NBA radar? Really? I'm curious where you got that from since he is not in the top 100 on any of the 2014 draft speculation websites. Which means he's not even good candidate to be picked up as a un-drafted player.
In the NBA he'd have to be a SG and since he only shoots 39 % from college 3pt range on a whooping 359 attempts for his career...I don't see it in his future. At best he might get on a NBA summer league roster, because he is one of the better scorers in the BSC just to see what he has, but getting invited to training camp in the fall of 2014 probably won't happen. If you've followed the Summer League some of those team's rosters fluctuate between 18-25 guys on a daily basis. Dleague maybe.... mid-level pro league overseas probably.
I do agree that he needs to step-up and be a better leader, even though he is dealing with some new adversity in the sense he has a bigger work load, because the Griz don't have a consistent inside presence on either end of the floor. Jamar, Gregory and DeShields need to have their focused turned to handling adversity and stop complaining to the refs as does Tinkle over every questionable call. I've never seen so much pouting and complaining out of players and a head coach who are suppose to be team leaders. They've been on top for 3 seasons and they are going to get every bodies best shot and that big red target isn't going away so they should probably focus on what they can control, such as how they handle the adversity.
Overall this team seems to have very little or zero team chemistry and that is a big problem. Jamar is good player and hopefully he will find better ways to deal with frustrations and stay in "the zone" more consistently.
Here is one article saying he is on NBA scout radars. Pretty reputable source here. He is getting attention from scouts. Only time will tell to what level or what his opportunity is. NBA scouts do know who he is. That is all. You made it sound like I was saying he is a NBA shoe in.

Last year he was seen by NBA scouts at UNC, which he had a great game. There were also NBA scouts at the Big Sky Conference tournament last season, which he was the tourney MVP. Scouts are interested enough in him to be going to Missoula and Greeley to watch him.
Sorry, but I don't agree on reputable source aspect or quotes being made in the article. Most journalist would cite who said he was 'throwback" etc. I've never heard of this Rob Duaster
Unless its. SBNation, DraftExpress, nbadraft.net, nbadraftroom.com, NetScouts Basketball or Chad Ford saying it then it's suspect at best.
The Griz SID will report when actual NBA scouts have requested credentials for games and the only ones have come from NetScoutsBasketball.com and their regional guy this season so far.
I'm not disagreeing with you on him being on their radar, that's why I made the point about the NBA Summer League and him being a top scorer in the Big Sky etc.
Hey if Jamar develops of jumper like 6'7 Ethan Wragge from Creighton then maybe he could be the next Stuckey or Lilliard.
