Kansas for FBS champion

So it looks like LSU is going to win, good for them... I guess.

So since Kansas and Hawai'i are the only 1 loss teams in the country, and Kansas' only loss was to Missouri who beat Arkansas who beat LSU... that means Kansas should be the FBS champion... right?

What do you mean? The actually recognized AP champion? Or is this just sarcastic humor making fun of the FBS?

From what I read a couple weeks ago, the AP champion could have ended up being another team (either Oklahoma, VT, or Georgia were the teams mentioned actually, not Kansas) IF the NC was a very close victory AND one of those other teams dominated their respective game. But since LSU won convincingly, I don't see a dual-championship this year.

If it's not settled on the field, it's not a real National Championship.

If the AP or computers are involved it's nothing more than a popularity contest. May as well not play the post season games and let the fans vote. It's the same thing as the way it is done now for the most part.

Thats the best post you've had this year.

I don't care who "won" the BCS Championship, I'm just glad it wasn't Ohio State.

Who cares about the freaking FBS?

The "real" D-I national champions are Appalachian State. They won on the field where it counts.

Should have added some hints at sarcasm there - I was meaning to poke fun at the system, however you could argue for Kansas, considering their record and who their opponents beat.
