Kade Boyd Suprise Scholarship

I flew into Billings the night before the GSA event. I did not know about the event until that afternoon. I had to scramble to find out where it was held and what time? I had already eaten so I didn’t get to enjoy the great barbecue that they had at the event.
Kade was really surprised when BK announced he was getting a full scholarship! There is a fantastic video on Facebook of everyone congratulating Kade. The link above is blocked, from watching on this site.
They also announced that this was the biggest turnout they’ve ever had for the GSA event in Billings.
If you’re near Billings next year, be sure and attend the event. Every dollar counts!
By the way, I was in on the helmet contest and went out on the first round! LOL

Any constructive criticism or positive feedback you have for the event?

I’m not sure it was the largest turnout but it has to be close. The venue and food were awesome. We are lucky to have a former Griz cheerleader that is also a party/wedding planner. She’s the best in the business. Also a former player that is a competitive bbq champion helps make sure the food is legit. If the momentum keeps going we will need to move to a larger venue.

BK is so much better at interacting with a large crowd than BH ever was. I’m hoping he wins and doesn’t get burnt out. Dude is non stop.
