K state and the 3-3-5 defense

Just read a little about our next opponent, South Dakota Coyotes, they just played K state who runs a 335 defense just like us. That should prepare them a little for Saturday.

Maybe the fact they scored 0 points also bodes well for our 3-3-5 though

35-10. :thumb:

I would be so thrilled with a 35-10 victory. Im concerned about our running game still, but I have more confidence this year that if we’re made to rely on our passing game Lucas Johnson can get it done through the air

I think part of our problem that made us so one-dimensional in the past was how thin we were in our running game from injuries in the past. I think that having 3 healthy backs that can rotate in and out will help our run game tremendously. Between Knight, Ostmo, and Harris - we finally have the tools to force teams to have to prepare for everything. Add in Johnson's running ability to the mix, I think our running game will do just enough to make us a big threat on offense.

I don’t know if KSU blitzes as much as we do with their 3-3-5 defense, but I would bet it will be good for the UM coaches when watching film on that game to scout USD tendencies.
Go Griz!
