Years ago when Dan was playing with the Griz, I was at a preseason practice with Brint. We were talking to Jimmy Wilson, who was at practice, with his helmet on, but with a different jersey number. It was the week after the biting incident. Dan was standing a bit away from our conversation, which was just after practice ended. Brint noticed Dan, and Dan asked if he could talk to him. Brint excused himself from our conversation, and went to talk to Dan. Later, as Brint and I walked off field, I asked Brint what was up. He said that, because Brint had defended Dan and said good things about him on egriz, that Dan's mom had made Dan meet/talk to Brint and say thanks. Very cute and nice. Brint had never met Dan previously, is my recollection.
