Justin Roper - OC Furman

Looking over their roster, there’s another coach that’s a blast from the Griz past. Their wide receivers coach is Drew Dudzik. He was James Madison’s second string QB that came in after Rodney Landers got hurt and damn near brought them back in that 2008 semifinal. He’s the guy that’s upside down scoring on the two point conversion that took about ten minutes to review.

I remember JMU folks were pretty hot about the final ruling

Go to 5:20 on the video link. Did their head coach say studying mellot??

I believe he did say Mellot, wouldn't it be funny if they were studying MSU tape all week

He said that he’s has a chance now to, “study em a lot now.”

Furman is an excellent school and they have a quality athletic program. My son competed against them when he played tennis for Wake Forest.
Furman and College of Charleston are two of the most respected schools south of Richmond. Both offer a lot to their very small enrollments, and Furman has what is considered by many as the most beautiful campus in the South. Their exellence in football is surprising but the coaching staff has recruited well and if the key personnel who were injured for the Wofford game are ready, this game could be interesting. As a Griz grad and South Carolina resident, I admit I'm hard pressed to choose a favorite in this game.

If they were then they were drunk. After review JMU was awarded the two points.

Maybe I am thinking of a different game. Wasn’t there a controversial call that ended up giving UM the win?

Must be a different game. UM was pretty much on top the whole JMU game.

Maybe you're thinking of the game against....NAU? At home in like....2010(ish?) I think Roper was the QB and he threw a TD pass to win the game from like the 1 or 2 yard line with around 3 seconds or so in the game. The WR caught the ball while getting tackled by a defender, by catching it one-handed against his helmet.
