Just wondering why

Not that it would have won the game although still could have some momentum going in at the half but WHY when there was about 9 seconds left in the first half and I think it was 1st and 10 or 2nd and 10 did we not burn a play to move the ball to the center of the field to try the field goal instead of kicking from the left hash. WTF, Is that the preference of the kicker or is the coaching just that damn dumb.

The big mistake on that clock drive was when we got a first down with around 35 seconds left Delaney did not call a timeout. We had all three remaining at that time. Yeah the clock stopped to reset the chain, but by the time they lined up and called the play at the line we lost about 12 seconds. Montana went to the locker room with two unused timeouts.

Because we were trying to score a TD and at least move the ball closer for the FB. Kicking from the left hash is usually not hard for most right footed kickers.

I'm not sure this was necessarily a big mistake, but I was saying the same thing as I say the clock ticking off after that first down.

The Griz had some really good flow going at the time...CP defense on its heels. A couple more plays could have resulted in 7 points. Not saying it would have but wouldn't you have liked to see them have a couple more shots down the field. It's not like he didn't have the timeouts to use.

I agree. Probably would have only been one more play, but, like you said, that might have been the play we wanted.

Given that lost 12 seconds, and the 9 that were left, thats at LEAST two additional plays....I was screaming at my iPad at that point.

I was absolutely in disbelief that Delaney didn't use a timeout in that situation. An absolute no-brainer... then again, I shouldn't be surprised either as he hasn't shown to have good game or clock management.

One more coaching blunder in a long line of blunders by MD.

I am not being facetious here, I really think Mick needs a Clock Coordinator in addition to an OC and a DC. This isn't the first time he's mismanaged a clock drive.

Co-clock coordinators in case we play in the central time zone and he wants to know what time it is back in Montana
