Please just give us one win over a team that looks to be ranked ahead of us. Albeit our schedule was tough this year, the games and outcomes have become predictable. Athletic department needs to assess the coaching situation most likely the day after cat game because we have a huge point in our program's history to really determine its success. Fancy locker rooms dont equate to beating teams that are perceived to be formidable challenges. We have what looks to be a great class coming in, and the only true concern I have is on the sideline. Does the AD recognize this opportunity or will fancy locker rooms be the highlight of a program that lived with on the field highlights for the better part of 20 years?
Very well said and I share the same concern. I realize that if you look at the total won/loss record it does not look bad. I also realize that this is the livelihood of a lot of good men and families and that decisions should not be made lightly. This is, however, the career they choose and it is always very fluid.
I don't think you can ignore that the Griz have not played to the highest level possible. Yes there have been key injuries and other factors that affect the game. That is true for every team. Look at the hand Cal Poly started with at the beginning of the year and how they progressed.
This staff has not been able to get over the hump and produce a team that plays at a high caliber consistently. I would argue the opposite in fact. I have expected more of the talent we have. We have played a lot of tough teams respectably and we had our chances to win them......but we didn't.
We have two games remaining and we may win both of them. But I think an honest assessment of the coaching staff should be conducted by our AD. I will support the Griz either way but now may be a good time for a change of direction and fresh start for the future.
