To be fair though, this iteration of the Griz would curb stomp that same Ferris if they played again today. UM defense was probably playing at a similar level, but the offense is light years ahead of where it was then IMO

This has nothing to do with fair, it has everything to do with bub fans being giant asshats leading up to the brawl about the Ferris game.
