remember, the 5'6" dynamo, junior russell, teammate of austin swift at santa cruz high, will be playing for fullerton tomorrow night. russell was the real force behind the santa cruz run to a state championship, and since i'm a big believer in point guards, i was hoping the griz might offer him. i believe he played on the same a.a.u. team as kyle sharp. it'll be interesting to see if russell is as good at the collegiate level as he was in high school. in one game i saw, he stripped the ball from the opposing point guard on three consecutive plays, resulting in a quick, game-changing six points. the kid can play.

I think that the last 10 years have proved that guard play wins at any level.

Russell was just about the worst player on Fullerton's team, which had many good players. He's teeny-tiny and showed no game at all. #54 the starter is/was 10 times better than him. junior will be pining it most of the year.
