I think the big reason for this is that for 2 guys that are so similar, Turner is very speed deficient to Ostmo.

I doubt he is THAT speed deficient. Turner was dang good track guy in the 100M, 200M AND 400M in high school. I think his 100M time was similar to Michael McGinnis -- who I recall showed some good speed against Oregon a few years back. I think Turner also had a faster 200M time than Troy Andersen, who seems to be pretty fast against everybody in FCS.

I don't think Turner was at 229 lb when he was a HS sprinter.
