Judge won't give JJ all of accuser's texts.

...willing to take advantage of the girl who was willing hoping for a relationship is predatory...
The basis for this kind of belief denies free will.. If she was indeed willing (for whatever reason -- and though this has not been established it seems likely) then her participation cannot be viewed as coerced or forced and she is not a victim just because her expectations differed from his. At this moment it simply appears that she changed her mind ex post facto for some reason. This does not rise to the level of any kind of crime just because someone wants to paint it that way -- and that is exactly what I believe will come out at trial.

This is correct. Buyer's remorse does not equal rape.

Maybe, thats why the trial, and maybe she said no at the at the time (which counts)

Who was hoping for the easy lay? Who initiated the texting? I thought you knew about some of the texts. ;)

Ol' 75 was back when, painting Jane Doe as a total nut case obsessed with JJ and pretending to really have a relationship with him. the more he attempted to make her look like a nut, the more he unknowingly made JJ look like a total jerk.

Kind of like when you try to portray her as an innocent waif who just wanted a loving relationship.....

you have it correct right here! JJ may well be a jerk but he is FAR from what you and GF are saying liar! :bs: :butt: :hater: :liar:

Pony: Maybe JJ shouldn't have had sex with her then. Maybe she shouldn't have enrolled at UM. Maybe JJ should have taken his talents elsewhere. Maybe she should never have been born. If none of those things had happened, then we wouldn't be here arguing about it. We could go on all day about the "ifs."

The one thing you can control is alerting the UM about their dispicable behavior in all of this. Taking it out on the alleged victim won't change one damn thing, and it makes you look like a total creep in the process.

I am just as American as you and resent that accusation. Take up your free speech with the UM and let the legal process play out. Not one poster here is a party to this litigation and we can't control squat. But you can email, call, yell, etc at the UM and make it known that they messed up.

Donkey Punch: I didn't say one thing about the accuser. I simply responded to tnt's shading of the truth that JJ preyed on her.

P.S. You are not American. :thumb:

Oh really? I was born in Montana, have a social security card, and currently reside within one of these 50 United States of America.

You said this in repsonse to my post, not TNT's. Can you read? Are you French-Canadian (the lowest of the low)?

I have no idea what you are babbling about now. I said I didn't say anything about wanting to expose the accuser or painting her in a negative light. I simply pointed out that tnt has a bias that misinforms him that the accuser was "only looking for a loving relationship". I pointed that out by stating that she texted JJ first and not vice versa, so its tough to say he preyed upon her in an "alcohol fueled" manner.

As to the "you are not an American" statement, I guess the sarcasm wasn't clear to the simple of mind.

I don't about only a loving relationship, but I'm sorry that you have never been in position that some woman "wanted" you, and let you know. Some guys know you can actually say no because it is a really bad idea. Some even know saying yes is taking advantage of the gal. Sadly some let their small head do the thinking instead of their big one after a few drinks. Even some have a pretty high opinion of themselves and think they are entitled. There are a few more scenarios too. The only question here is did she decide WHOA this was real bad idea before the act or after the act.

Its a shame...usually at this time of year I'm asking "is it Friday/Saturday yet?" This year I'm asking "is it Feburary 8th yet?" This is tiring :(

Agreed. That is the only issue. Not whether he was a heel, or drinking, or not looking for a long term relationship. You would be wise to edit your posts where you consistently forget that main issue and fling innuendo around regarding superfluous matters in an obvious attempt to denigrate the accused. ;)

P.S. Please help me learn about relationships because I am unloved. (Jesus you sound like a junior high student sometimes.)

Lesson One: Jocks are just like every other 20 year old They don't get as much as they want when ever they want.

Lesson Two: (and one JJ may have learned here) Even they are easy, treat 'em that way or worse like a whore, You are screwed. (and not literally)

Lesson Three: There will be no winner here. JJ may not be convicted but chances of a anything BUT a hung Jury are between slim and none. Meaning the next step won't be Spring ball and a trip to the Finals

Lesson Four: JJ rapist or not screwed up big time and made some huge mistakes. And he needs to take responsibility that the ONLY man with integrity involved in this whole mess lost his career for supporting him....

Not going to be a hung jury in my opinion. We will see. Pflu lost his job so a man with no integrity could keep his.

So, again, my point is TAKE IT UP WITH THE UNIVERSITY. These are two different proceedings and two different issues. UM has the most inconsistent discipline policy in college athletics. They let some guys play, they suspend some guys for a quarter, and they drag other guys through the mud, kick them off the team, and let them dangle in the winds of uncertainty. That's the University's problem. Not the accuser.

Hopefully someone with your alleged higher intelligence can figure that out.

Hopefully someone simple, like you for instance, can realize that changing the University discipline process completely, will not help JJ avoid trial. JJ is not on trial because of UM discipline procedure failures. JJ is on trial because of accusations of rape.

Now, having said that, should the University improve its discipline process? Yes. I will let you carry that message to administration. Please report back promptly.

So why are you conflating the two procecesses? You don't seem to understand the difference. The University is the one thing you can do something about, so do it, my friend. The legal process is not. The accuser is not yours to drag through the mud. The accused's attorney can do that just fine.

I will let you see how you can impact this legal proceeding on your own. I expect a response. Remember, as your friend President Obama said, "Yes. You. Can."
