juco running back commits to Griz.

Justin Green a running back from Mesa cc gave the new Griz coaching staff a verbal. He was signed out of high school by San Deigo State.

Why would we be after any more RBs? Unless he could play DB.....

It is true. Geaux, at this point it I can't blame you for questioning. But I have heard this is true. Gober is not in town yet, and he still has to take some tests. He sould be more than fine by spring. I haven't heard on Harrison's medical redshirt status. and Waller is rearing to go. It does seem strange to overload the RB position, givin Bobby's pass first offence. Maybe he has something up his sleeve. 8)

P.S. Im pretty sure Waller has some DB experince. (just a thought)
 
What about Engalman.....what about Hillard.....what about Jr.....what about my mama?

We have a lot of good RBs.......we need help in the D secondary....I'm sure they know that better than I....but we shall see.
 
Word on Green is that he is a bull dozer type runner. With pretty decent balance as well. In my book we need one of these types. Waller and Gober are both more finess runners. If we get Harrison back he is a little of both, but not really a bull dozer. We need a guy who can get a yard or 2 regardless of the situation. I hear that Green is that type of runner.
 
Englemann looks as though, while very fast and quick, also has more power than either Gober or Waller.
I like Dozer-type back, especially in the redzone or for short yardage.
But backs that can burn and doz are great to have.

He has great football knowledge as well. I hope he considers getting into coaching when his playing career is over.
