Jordan Tripp to the Dolphins

I had conversations with a senior female UM athletic and with the owner of a downtown restaurant tonight--both of whom know and like Tripp. They say he's a great guy and terrific representative for UM athletics..

what was this guy's major? his quotes aren't particularly thoughtful or articulate: “they’re going to see a player who is in love with the organization and will do anything he can to get that win." “the dolphins are getting someone who is a team player and puts their heart out of their team." i'm pretty sure i've read other quotes like this by him, too.

I agree with you! Signedbewildered probably flunked zoology and most likely never majored in anything.
As for Jordan Tripp I am sure he has an excellent chance to make Miami's roster.

I have defended both you at times on this board. You are both good and very entertaining posters. Alpha is pure genius as a poster. You know his schitk. Why do you let him grate on you?

No. I don't support lying on any level. My point is that there are a handful of great and very entertaining posters on this board. There are some rivalries too. You guys all have your strengths and weaknesses. Alpha has his schitk. You are not totally disinterested. Brint has been called a sugarcoater. You're all very entertaining and good posters though.That's the beauty of this board. I even would support Growler coming back because I think he has some good posts. To me, it's about entertainment and balanced opinions. As you and Brint do, AG1 has a lot of talent as a poster. It's the "cocktail" of all of your personalities mixing together that makes this fan board great. I'd like to keep it that way without going overboard with the
acerbic banter and personal attacks. If that's possible.

I have no talent. I have good information, understand football, support the team, and am not afraid to take on dummies and jerks when they are unfairly dissing or lying about players or coaches. I don't like racist, sexist and homophobic posts and posters. I have zero respect for a certain half dozen or so posters on the board.

I would argue with you but I have bigger fish to fry. Conrats to all of the NDSU players who will be making an NFL showing this year. What's zoology?

Andy Cohen, editor of the Dolphin Digest, is a believer in Tripp. Her'e what he had to say this morning..."Another draft pick who really intrigues me is linebacker Jordan Tripp out of Montana. He is fast, smart, productive and is especially proficient at stopping the run, which could fill a big need. So you don’t have high expectations for a fifth-round pick at linebacker? I guess Montana is an official pipeline to the Dolphins...

It sure appears that way. The Dolphins have had a Griz on their roster every year since the 2007 season when they picked up Tuff Harris. Here's a rundown of Griz/Fins since that time.
2007 -Tuff Harris
2008 - Dan Carpenter
2009 - Carpenter, Lex Hlliard
2010* - Carpenter, Hilliard, Cory Procter
2011* - Carpenter, Hilliard, Jimmy WIlson
2012 - Carpenter, Wilson
2013 - Wilson
2014 - Wilson, Jordan Tripp
* - During the 2010 and 2011 seasons when the Dolphins had 3 Griz on their roster the Grizzlies had more players, or were tied for the most players, on the Dolphins than any other college.
The Dolphins have drafted/signed more Griz players than any other team in the NFL. Other players not on this list have also played on the Dolphins, including 1983 NFL Defensive MVP Doug Betters.

Wish he could add more than just pointing out how bad the Griz are compared to NDSU. Smack is great but save it for foes. BTW I do appreciate the info BW, PR, Everett, MTgrizrule and others post for those of us on the outside looking in. That's what make the forums worthwhile.
