Jordan Tripp to the Dolphins

Miami newspaper reporters have reacted very positively to Jordan Tripp's selection by the Dolphins. Sun-Sentinel columnist Omar Kelly's reaction was "I LOVE IT" and called it his second-favorite pick of the Dolphins' draft. All the other reporters have chimed in with positive feedback for the pick as well, predicting immediate impact as a special teams player and a strong push for playing time as the only middle linebacker on the roster other than starter Dannell Ellerbe. Two writers suggested Ellerbe move outside and put Tripp in the middle for an immediate upgrade to the overall linebacker corp. One writer suggested Tripp may compete at OLB. (I think he plays MLB for the fins.) Usuallly the beat writers are pretty tough on the Dolphins but Jordan is being received very well. I think part of that is a testament to the Griz brand in Miami due to the recent success of players, such as Tuff Harris, Lex Hilliard, Dan Carpenter and Jimmy Wilson and the all-time Griz/Dolphin great, former Defensive NFL MVP Doug Betters. The Fins love their Griz!
 
Congrats to Jordan Tripp. Miami, Indianapolis, and St Louis all with 7th round draft picks left. Where will Coyle be heading?

Don't get how a bunch of LB's who ran low 5's on their 40's get drafted and Coyle doesn't....

Don't get how a bunch of LB's who ran low 5's on their 40's get drafted and Coyle doesn't....

Coyle is a stud and should have been drafted. It will be interesting to see if Tripp can make a 52 though, should be able to make the practice squad. I congratulate him in working hard and being drafted, just didn't like him after he ran by myself and kids flipping us all off.

Well luckily for Tripp it's 53 men but I'm sure if you called and told them and told them how poorly he treats Bobcat fans, I'm sure they'll cut him right away. ;)

I know you are joking but a player of his caliber shouldn't be doing that in front of any children or adults, makes him look like a punk ass, which we know he is not. The general public doesn't know that he is a good kid, too bad really.

Tripp is no stranger to bad behavior off the field and with his friends, the guys here in Missoula where I work have a couple stories about him that are head shakers. He isn't the angel that people on here try to make him out to be.
