Jordan Noblitt Hearing from tulsa

Is he hearing from any Big Sky teams. I hear both MSU and UM are focusing on highschool players right now.

If I'm not mistaken, the GRIZ have already committed the one available scholarship for next year (Staudacher). I believe Davis will be the only senior on this year's team.

Jordan played at Tech last year as a redshirt freshman. He transfered to Feather River this fall. Technically he is a freshman this year. Randy Read, coach at Feather River has very high praise for Jordan's abilities. For anyone who has seen him play he truly is "fastest gun in the west" with great range. He still needs more physical strength but is still growing and should add pounds and a inch or two over the next two years as he just turned 20.

That is true, but I hear the Griz are still some what active, looking at high school kids. Purely a guess on my part, but they most likely they anticipate a turn over or two of underclassmen with the transition from Kennedy to Kysco. Remember if Staudacher is his only recruit, next year Krysco will enter the season with only two of "his" recruits the remaining guys will all be Kennedy's. That is a lot to ask of a new coach.

Anyway Montana / Kysco are still recruiting I hear a couple permiter shooting small forwards (from Washington and Utah) and a 6'-8" forward from Washington. Again my guess, but if they got a commitment from the big guy from Washington they would snatch him up in an instant he is really good. Look for them to sign Staudacher this fall and then keep very active in recruiting over the winter and then sign 1-2 players this spring.

I also might add that it was Tinkle that turned Jordan and Feather River onto each other. Wayne is watching Jordan very close. Sandy, his mother and I are planing to watch him in a tournament over Thanskgiving in San Fransisco.

Yes, He is being under recruited right now. Broke his leg just before the summer eval period and a lot of bigger schools backed off until they see him play this winter. If he waits and signs this spring look for him to sign with possible pac-10 school. The Griz and Bobcats are hot on his trail to sign this fall.

OK prove me wrong Kysco.

Will Play in Big Sky

Kyle Sharp, 6-6 SR PF Hollister (Calif.) High, has committed to Montana, according to a source familiar with the recruitment.

Sharp also drew interest from Pacific, Montana State and UC Davis, among other programs.

Did anyone see the blurb in the Missoulian today about Kyle playing for the Griz? He visited Montana during the Hofstra game, and liked the atmosphere. He also visited Bozeman for a Cat game, said it was "boring". Ouch. First thought that came to my mind - poor bobcats. Sorry I know this isn't the smack forum but I thought it was funny, although Cat fans may not think it was funny when Kyle plays in Bozeman.

A little more info I found on Mr. Sharp

Montana gets verbal from California Prep
Montana pledged forward 6'6" Kyle Sharp of Hollister-San Benito, California. He was the leading scorer on last years championship team..He ave. 18 ppg and is deadly from the three point line...good player with limited athletism..but can shoot, and in the Big Sky, that seems to be a top priority...

Doesn't Krysko have the right to pull scholarships he didn't give?

Maybe he's using that as a motivational tool this year for guys to step up.

"The Right" to pull a scholarship, if you mean can he pull a scholarship under NCAA
rules the answer is yes, with some conditions. A coach can decide not to renew a
scholarship at any time beginning of a year or semester if he chooses, but freshmen (first
year) who signed a letter of intent are guaranteed their first year of scholarship as long as
they meet certain conditions laid out in the letter of intent, i.e. graduate from highschool,
are accepted by the University etc.. Additionally A few years back when ever an athlete
entered there senior year of eligibility that final year was guaranteed, I believe that this is
still true. So Krysco could cut almost anyone he chooses, by NCAA rules, and it is quite
common for new coaches to prune players from an old regime in order to get the players
he needs in the program.
