Jordan Hasquet update

Well-known member
Former Griz Jordan Hasquet dropped 38 points on FC Bayern Muenchen on the road in Munich Germany. FC Bayern features ex Pittsburgh star Chevy Troutmen, Georgetown's Rueben Boumtje and Notre Dame's Ben Hasbrough.

Hasquet is shooting 61% from the field 36% from 3 point land 80% from the line and is averaging 14.4 points and 3 rebounds per game through 5 games in Germany's top professional league. :thumb:

Actually he did better for the GRIZ. He had much better rebounding numbers with the GRIZ, even though he should have had a lot more. Jordan's Sophomore and Junior years were very solid. Sr year, have to admit, I was disappointed in his play.

Good to hear Jordan is putting up some good numbers. Thanks for the update.

Why couldn't he do that for the Griz?

Hasquet was a top league MVP candidate as a Soph. He did put up numbers. As a Junior and Sr. he had dips in scoring but had great all around numbers for a PF often flirting with triple doubles. Going from an offense that was predicated on ball movement and offensive post play under Krysko to an offense in which the ball was dominated so much by Anthony Johnson could be another reason there was a dip in scoring. Not taking shots at AJ here, but that is just fact.

In Europe Hasquet is more of a 3-4 swingman than a true PF. The league he is in (BBL) is full of NBA type size and athleticism so obviously the Rebounding numbers will be down a bit. Rumors have even been circulating that Dirk Nowitzki may sign with a BBL team due to the NBA lockout. Wow Growler? Did ya ever see a game? I believe Jordan is top ten all time scoring, rebounding and 3 pointers..........and one of the best passing big men ever. Had 30 in 24 minutes his freshman year vs NAU...........only coaches kept him from 40 that night. If Krysko sticks around, who knows where he ends up. Senior year numbers can be summed up best.........Anthony left, Anthony right, Anthony up the middle..........just picked a bad time to pass............. to Bynum...........Cats advance.
