Jamaal Jones moved into 3d place on Saturday, surpassing Baker, Talmage and Gurnsey. His 2608 career yards is behind only Wells (2733) and Mariani (3,018). Jones has 49 catches for 804 this year. He had 5 for 56 yards on Saturday. Yes, we all know he had a drop or two and took off his helmet too soon on Saturday.

His brother was also shot 5 times before the game Saturday so the drops are a non issue. It's amazing Jamaal even suited up and was productive in the game. His brother is expected to recover.

Holy crap, really??

Expected to recover, that's good to hear. Wow... I had no idea.

Poor kid. Glad his brother is expected to recover. Really shows his dedication.

He dedicated the game to him with a post on his public Instagram account. Quick Google search confirmed the shooting. Some totally random act by a crazy person. Very sad.
He does mention him as his "other" brother, so maybe not directly related? Maybe someone can clarify

Yes. That's the article I read. Terrible and senseless shooting.

Wow. You'd think something like this would help Griz fans put things into perspective. There's more to life than winning and losing.

and perhaps all those fans who criticized his game would like to take a moment and reflect on what this young man was going through. It is really disheartening to read some of the criticism of OUR players on here. These are not professional athletes but young men

Photo of Jamaal with his brother. Really senseless violence. I hope the military courts throw the book at the shooter.

Here is where I remind people of my signature on my posts. It's a quote about Wild Bill Kelly in the 20's but it still fits today.
"In Bill's(Wild Bill Kelly) tragic death there might be some message for the college society that basks in the glory of the football team and the individual heroes, but overlooks the fact that they are like the rest of us with conflicts, fears, frustrations, and weakness."-Joseph Cochran, friend of Kelly's
