Joining the Mountain West would run an $8MM - $9MM annual deficit - can we overcome that?

Pretty sure the MVFC would love to have us and MSU for Football and the Summit for Basketball worst case scenario, but what's going on at NAU to me highlights we need to be doing a hell of alot more to position ourselves to make a jump, even as a Football only, to FBS in the next round of mass Realignment.

What positioning? What more could-should UM do? Some of you act like UM is unaware of what is going on with football and realignment? UM has been positioning itself for the future for 20 years. Do you not listen to anyone in the athletic department or read what they say? You want UM to move up so badly that you are blind to what they are doing and to reality.
