MWC gets 2-3 teams into the NCAAs with Nevadas, Grand Cayon transfer portal additions and throw in New Mexico, Hawaii and Unlv it’s a solid conference. The longer you stay in the BSC the further you will fall behind.

Correct. It can be done at SLO. At UM, it cannot be done. That’s the main difference. Plus, UM would have to make sure it used its bargaining power to dictate certain terms at the FBS level before it agrees to allow the FBS to have us. We should make sure there is a G6 playoff system at a minimum, or the FBS can keep dreaming of having UM.

cal poly and UC Davis are the two names getting named alot more recently to move up as both are heavily investing in facilities/revenue share and NIL.

We’re already going to see that with NDSU. Their NIL and coaching salaries in FY2025 was less than half that of conference peer UNLV.

They have a contract they have first right of refusal. They are telling there recruits they are planning on moving up.

Look, over the vast majority of the last 15 seasons, undsu would have taken Vegas behind the woodshed. And they would have done that with 30 fewer scholarships and playing every game on the road. Give them equal scholarships and allow then to play half the games in Fargo?
