I don't think the field itself is going to be renamed for the Washingtons.

I don't think the Washington's want the field name after them, they have the biggest name sake going that goes everywhere.

It is an institution of it's self, has meaning and a soul and a hell of a reputation.
The old joke is that for a few more dollars, they can rename the whole shebang "The University of Washington."

And interesting as well is the true University of Washington hasn't sold rights to name their stadium.....it is Husky Stadium...just another one of many colleges that haven't gone that route to make money.

Well the new field certainly isn't going to be named anything, considering it wasn't paid for by a generous UM donor. I guess you could say the Washington Huskies could be considered a donor since they are paying for the field, and in return, they get a 50-7 or worse win over the Griz. Fair trade? lol. IN any event, that game is paying for the new field, as Montana worked out a deal that they didn't have to make the payment until sometime late in 2017 or even 2018.

If you're giving 43 in that game I'll take that action for any amount you care to wager.

I gotta say, once it's John Hoyt field it should stay John Hoyt field. It's a matter of common courtesy to Mr. Hoyt and the folks who made a donation in his honor. I understand that keeping the name on the field could cause some discomfort years later, but that's the price you pay. If 'John Hoyt' was removed to rename the field for the Washington's, I'm sure some other edifice could be found to honor them. btw, I really do appreciate the Washington's support for UM and Griz football, it's just that the field is already named.
I get where you are coming from. But, the whole stadium was named Washington-Grizzly Stadium in 1986. I'm sure the Washingtons thought that meant the turf too. Thus, I wonder how they felt about the addition of Hoyt field.

The majority of the cost of the initial field turf field was the work done under the turf. I was told the turf was only $300,000 of the cost.

Is it accurate that Hoyt didn't donate anything for the field?
A natural-grass stadium gave way to SprinTurf prior to the 2001 season at a cost of about $1 million, which was paid for by an anonymous donor. The field was named “John Hoyt Field” in 2001 at the request of the anonymous donor, in honor of Hoyt, a long-time Grizzly booster, who passed away in March of that year.

could have been part of his will perhaps?

Are you referring to the Alaska Airlines Field at Husky Stadium - adjacent to the Alaska Airlines Arena at Hec Edmundson Pavilion (previously Bank of America Arena), and near the Dempsey Indoor Facility, by the LLoyd Nordstrom Tennis Facility?
