Joey Counts on crutches?

Lets see now we have Canada and Nyguen. Can Wilson run the ball or maybe Hagfors. When its all said and done we will have to pass......there won't be anyone left to run the ball.

I got to say though I was pretty impressed with Counts's holding penalty while he was in a boot, on crutches, and on the sideline in the 4th qtr of the EWU game.

Yes, that was quite a feat!

Several players have sustained injuries (and not necessarily their first in their careers) so your comment is inappropriate. No player wants to be injured. Counts has played his a** off all season each and every time he has set foot on the field. He made a tackle and somehow in the pile something happened, almost looked like it may have been one of his own that sent him limping off the field. So stop with the negativity and be confident that he is the type of athlete that does the right things to stay healthy and will do the right things to get back on the field healthy and ready to charge. The Griz need him and he is committed to his brothers/team. These players need the communities support not negativity.

OK, Mom. JFC you need to have your funny bone reimplanted, jackass.

I realize it was a joke, but 2013 is right. It's not right making humor out of an injury.
Hope it is not too serious and the kid heals up so he's back in action soon.

Well, unless he's lying in a hospital bed in traction or paralyzed, he'll be back and I think a little "humor" is fine...but thanks for forcing your (and apparently 2013's) opinion on other people like it's fact...

Seriously, go fu*k your face.

Don't ever tell me or anyone else what they can and can't find funny OK Obama?

with no running backs we might actually be forced to throw the ball. not saying these injuries are good in the least, but if we are a "run first, pass if we have to" offense then our only option might be a good one.

Well, for that to work we have to have the semblance of a running threat....

with counts....is it a knee or ankle?

The following says it's an ankle injury < http://billingsgazette.com/sports/college/big-sky-conference/university-of-montana/football/grizzlies-try-to-rectify-shifting-offensive-trends/article_9180b436-7919-56a1-b911-0edb7aee1558.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Hopefully Van will be able to take more snaps with another week of healing on his ankle.
He made no lateral cuts last week. Surprised he was even suited up with the high ankle sprain - slow healers.
I was happy to see Van "fight" his way back on the field too. My buddy had a field pass and he said Counts ankle looked like a "bloated egg" compared to his "good' ankle. :egriz:

Apparently Joey's injury was misdiagnosed and it is worse that previously thought. Doctors recently discovered things are torn in his foot and he will miss all of next season in order to recover and heal properly.

Sounds like they are trying to get him a medical redshirt for 2014.

No link. I bumped into a friend of Joey's dad, he relayed the news.

Was that on the golf course, Carl?

That is terrible news for Joey. Hopefully they can get him the redshirt and not cost him a year, it should be pretty straight forward. I am now waiting for someone on here to blame the misdiagnoses on the implementation of Obamacare. LOL

I'm not up to par on knowlege on how how red shirts work but wasn't he red shirted in 2012? And since it was burned can he get a medical RS?

Good question. I didn't realise he had red shirted as a freshman. Anybody know how that works?
