NDSU will beat Oregon next year. They will have the best player on the field (Lance) and Oregon has a QB with zero experience starting his first game. Tailor made for an upset. OL and DL will match up and beat anything Oregon has. I would relish the moment NDSU get housed by 30 but its not going to happen, it never does. Some of you need to admit they are just better than 95% of college football teams ant any level.
I'm saving this post and will follow up with you after the game. If NDSU stays within 10 points by the end of regulation that would be a miracle within itself.

Please do!

Iowa said the same thing and the Bison kicked their ass at home with a lot better defense than Oregon has coming back next year.

This. I don't know what kind of life 2011bison has lived and his/her upbringing but the constant need for reassurance from a fanbase forum in a totally different conference than NDSU makes me wonder, how this person will react come next year when NDSU gets knocked off their high horse and finally put in their place by Oregon, that winning streak will finally come to an end, and maybe just maybe the big L will make this NDSU troll shut up for at least a few months time.
So what is going to be your excuse if ndsu pulls of the upset.
1- this wasn't the same caliber of team Oregon had last year
2- Oregon was breaking in a new, unproven quarterback.
3 Oregon was looking past ndsu and onto Ohio State..
Shouldn't matter because according to one of the "experts" over here the ducks will have the top 20 players on the field.

Anyone who seriously thinks the Bison have a chance against a top 10 FBS program needs to get real. NDSU just barely survived against a JMU team that wouldn't even have won the Sun Belt conference. Ducks have depth and their recruiting class last year was their best ever, this year is already looking good too. Ducks 50, Bison 13

Yawn....heard the same thing when they played Iowa in 2016.

For not caring about what Griz fans think, these Bizon fans sure care a lot about what Griz fans think...minutes after the Bizon win a NC.

It’s just so fucking classic. “You don’t know anything, but please agree that the Bizon are great. Please?!”

I'd be more worried about ducks offense they like to score points and if it's a shootout in Autzen most would bet on the Ducks. Oregon HC was an O-lineman, their Oline and Dline will be tuned and ready to knock down an overconfident FCS Bison team and fanbase that think they are invincible right now

Reality check time it's 2020 not 2016 and NDSU's decade is over.

I hate it but NDSU is going to win at least 3 more before anyone challenges them. It sucks but you have to deal with reality. Their freshman Payton award winning QB will be the first legit FCS Heisman candidate since Steve McNair, come on man you can hate them but be reasonable.

I hope Oregon has a shot, but probably Clemson or some SEC team. I really hope the PAC 12 steps it up soon.

Reality check...Trey Lance is a freshman this year and they bring back the vast majority of their team next year.

I didn’t specify.

Who do you think wins it in the FCS?

He's already won the Payton, he's already won an FCS championship, he's undefeated his first year. What else is there to accomplish at the FCS level? Practice for NFL. After suffering a loss at Oregon this Fall Mr. Lance will grow hungry for stiffer competition at the FBS level and while NDSU may win another title next year I won't be surprised to see the young QB phenom look at FBS transfer options to to try and get to the FBS college football playoff.

He’ll leave to the NFL early before leaving for an FBS team.

Leaving for an FBS team will not help him in the draft. No reason to go.

Except he doesnt want to play for anyone other than NDSU.

He turned down offers from Boise State, Minnesota, Illinois Brown and Cornell. He's not going anywhere except the NFL

How do you know that, do you know Mr. Lance personally? Who's to say he isn't hungry for the top division of college football. Who knows by the time he transfers to FBS college football players may finally be allowed monetary compensation (there is legislation to try and make that happen)

It’s irrelevant.

They will win two more with him if he doesn’t get hurt.

No evidence to suggest they will not continue to win. The program is getting better, not worse.

Oh boy Minnesota or Boise State... Quite the cream of the crop to pick from.. I'm talking transfer offers from the likes of teams like LSU, Alabama, or Oklahoma...

I actually agree with the Bizon fans on Lance. There is no way he will go FBS given the Bizon history of QBs that turn to glass against tough competition. As is tradition, he’s gotta pull the wool over and get paid beforehand.

Totally different person, and he's just a freshman. Big period of change for all young men and women. Who knows where this could go? Certainly not Mr. Lance ... or any of us.

On a related note: When is Wentz going to pack it in? https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/...carson-wentz-heroic-for-reporting-concussion/

Absolutely nothing against the guy. In fact, I've been happy that another FCS pick at QB has been successful in the NFL. Hell, I'm a life-long 49er fan. I'd love to see Garoppolo (Eastern Illinois, drafted 2014) take SF to a Super Bowl win.

But Wentz just may not have an NFL body. Despite how they protect the QB, he's had way too many injuries. Another concussion? Ouch!

I've seen him in interviews, and he's pretty good. Maybe it's time to retire to the TV booth. (Hopefully, he's socked away enough of his big contracts to not worry about money.)

Real question: how many more years until NDSU moves up?

Christ almighty...one score game in the 4th quarter and you guys think they should move up?

I’m actually thinking, given NDSU’s dominance at this level, that a move to better competition might be in order.

What baffles me is the ability, through 3 different head coaches and being in Fargo, ND, to consistently get the best team in FCS football. Besides winning, how the holy hell do you recruit and develop players year in and year out on this level? Obviously they are doing something right in Fargo.

To be as confident as you are about playing Oregon next year speaks volumes for your program. You guys are the envy of the FCS right now.
