JJ Trial

I was out of town, and missed the "parents" testifying, but noted the following comment in the Missoulian:

"Yet again, Missoulian reporter Gwen Florio "forgets" to include the evidence most damning to the prosecution's case yesterday. When the alleged victim took the stand two weeks ago, she went into great and emotional detail about how she'd been bullied at school while a child, had to go through a year of couseling for it, bullied again in High School so badly that her parents took her out of the Great Falls school system and enrolled her in Power, where her father taught.

"Neither parent, NEITHER one, had never heard of these items, let alone lived through them. She saw a counselor two or three times as a kid due to bad dreams, and she transferred to Power HS so it was more convenient for the whole family in the mornings, since her Mom worked long hours as a nurse, and her Dad was working at another high school."

As they say, THAT'S interesting ...

The parents were reluctant to beleive everything Jane Doe was telling them regarding the alleged rape and the fact that Jane Doe was also over the top with her emotional detail of her jr. high and high school bullying episodes when compared to the parents account leads the observer to believe that Jane Doe has an issue with reality.
I am confident that the parents testimony not jiving with Jane Does testimony regarding her teen years will not be overlooked by the jury.

Why??... because no matter how hard I tried, I simply cannot find a board where dumba$$e$ accuse DISTRICT COURT JUDGES of purposely throwing a trial and more DUMBA$$E$ actually agreeing with him... the mental capacity of the rabid griz fan and entertainment value alone are too hard to pass up....
Stick around and maybe you'll learn enough to rise to the level of stupid. Granted, it is a long way up for you but keep the faith.

Oh please oh Please I can only hope that I can "raise to your level" so I to can with a straight face accuse a District Court Judge of purposely throwing a trial....

Then... after making such accusations, allow me to cry and whine about said District Court Judge for putting the trial on a "timer" and seriously think this to be true...Then surround me with equally brilliant peers who will agree with my every word...

Please lord, grant me this wisdom .... :thumb:

Maybe you haven't heard, but there was a time limit in place.

...thiz trial could go either way...
...and what it will boil down to...
...judges instruction to the jury...

... 8-) ...

From today's Missoulian in the comments about the aricle

Someone named Bittersweet posted this:

Paoli also asked her about a note she sent to a high school friend in Great Falls that detailed the trouble she was having with getting her mom, aunt and cousin to be on her side, and also included thoughts she was having about feeling responsible for what happened and even guilty....

..........
part of the note...."And now I keep thinking that maybe I did want it, and that’s why I didn’t punch him or kick him or bite him. It’s all kind of ridiculous because I know I didn’t ask for it.The more and more this goes on, the more I feel guilty about it. The whole situation makes me think I just lied."

Did the Jury get to read this letter?

The Jury is going to remember this letter!

I missed this, and certainly didn't see the note.

If true, the portrait that this young woman paints of herself is disturbing in many ways. The idea that she has fabricated an entire earlier life history of trouble, of bullying, of diagnoses, of on-going counseling -- a perpetual and ongoing victimhood at the hands of other people, her peers -- and that this narrative may have been entirely fabricated and stunningly at odds with the testimony of her parents is ... extraordinary.

That was no small difference of opinion over a minor fact. It is as though they raised an entirely different girl, with different life experiences, than the one that testified as their daughter. This is Twilight Zone quality.

The fact that her former high school sweetheart testified as to the loyalty and integrity of a former girlfriend who had, in fact, shown no loyalty to him and had lied to his face about the very incident that he was testifying about, reinforces a perception that there are, in fact, two young women involved in this debacle each presenting a different face to a different person for a different purpose.

All of this is painted against a backdrop of a young woman who sought out what at first appeared to be standard reporting protocols -- an Examiner Nurse, a Counselor, an Assistant Dean, a Detective -- and one-by-one engaged in selective reporting, emotional recruiting, relationship manipulation with the result that each, in certain specific ways, "took sides" and stepped beyond their professional boundaries is an extraordinary exposition as to the effect of a determined narrative in the hands of a capable teller.

To see her thinking that "she may have lied," and admitting it to a friend is, unfortunately, consistent with a lifetime of apparently doing just that.

Not trying to start a political debate here, but after 22 years in the military I would have to say that the VAST majority of people in the military vote middle to very conservatively. Now that does not mean they vote strictly Republican as some, like myself consider themselves Libertarians. I will say you are probably right about a lot of Vietnam era Vets voting liberal however my Uncle Butch served 24 years in the Marines starting in 1964, is a certified badass and HATES liberalism.
Per a Military Times Poll, the military voted about 66%-26% in favor of Mitt Romney. Believe it or not the character of the candidates was the most important factor according to the survey.

Democrats were normal people in the 60's. They mostly aren't now and don't realize how their party stands for something else. Kennedy said "ask not what your country can do for you..." Think that has changed a little in the past 50 years? Yeah, me too. :thumb: And I am not saying the Republican party is any better right now either.

All these pages of trial and tribulations over if did she say no. Hell, if I would have taken no for an answer everytime I've been told it, I would still be a virgin...almost...

Have you ever SEEN Gwen Florio? She is so ugly she has to sneak-up on a glass of water to get a drink. The reason she is so pro-rape in this case, is because she could stand on a Higgins Avenue street corner with a sign saying 'Please rape me",........ and get no takers.

There are few things that E-Griz folks can agree on. I know of only two"
1) The cats suck.
2) Steve Dill is a jackass!

I just want a cut of the money that Paoli's team is paying UMGriz75 to post their thoughts on each day's events. Smart move to sway E-griz opinion...er wait. Never mind....lol.

It's this kind of stupid sh*t that pisses me off about some of the comments made about this trial. I have my opinions and I disagree with Florio but posting this kind of crap is horrible.

If you're trying to be funny, you've failed.

But thanks for trying Mr Steve Dill in:
