JJ Trial

Thats really not the point. People that have PTSD usually have triggers that are associated with the trama. So I would imagine that the clothing or a specific setting would trigger stressors in the individual so for someone to continue to wear items associated with such a dramatic issue would be strange. Thats all.
The concept of identifying triggers is a circular argument.

Yesterday, I don't think the tweets picked up that the roommate who was sleeping, was a gun nut, practiced shooting alot and was good at it, and kept multiple guns in his bedroom.
Sounds like a high character guy to me
Actually, sounds a lot like me.

JBS, I just wanted to say thank you for spelling "a lot" correctly. For some reason, reading "alot" or "allot" over and over in this thread is starting to piss me off. :D

?

I just read through most of this topic and the amounts of "alot" and "allot" are staggering. Frankly, it makes it hard for me to take the poster's comments seriously--at least over 57 pages.

Alright, I understand. But please remember that alot of spelling mistakes are just typing errors. Sorry, couldn't resist.

Ha ha. I understand that. To add one comment before I have to go teach my Quant. I Methods class, more than anything to me, this thread highlights the fact that most people think they are experts in human behavior.

Please expand on that thought

I would be willing to bet on a high correlation between people that "practiced shooting a lot and was good at it, and kept multiple guns" and high character people

Sarcasm is lost on a message board so I thought your post was full of it. I for a second thought you were saying people that shot a lot of guns were with little character.

Well, they do have the basic qualifications of being human. That should count for something.

Strange to agree with 2506 here, but if being good with guns, shooting them a lot, and owning a bunch of them somehow makes you lose credibility, it would be pretty hard to find a credible person in this state. At least of the people I know. Maybe nobody "tweeted" about it because nobody cared.
You know you secretly agree with me often, it just isn't PC over here to agree publicly :thumb:

Oh and IMO the whold bringing the gun thing into it is just more smoke and mirrors, the defense doesn't want the jury thinking about what may have actually happened, they are hoping they are distracted by shiny objects.

Alleged victim has some 'splaining to do over this claim refuted by Colling.

Yes, I admit I am biased towards Johnson's side in this trial, but I think even the alleged victim's family have some reservations about her credibility.

I know I am a total shill for JJ, but if some young lass takes me in her bedroom, kisses me on her bed, allows me to take her shirt off followed closely by her bra, starts rubbing my junk, and then stradles me, I just might think she is interested in more than a platonic relationship !!!

I know...I am a sexist pig and a repressor of Gyno-Americans and if makes you all feel better, I am applying to appear on the Dr. Drew show so that I can be treated !!!
 I just Florio-ed my lunch on a clean shirt reading that
Representing the Magic City well....

See, this is why it is strange to agree with you on anything, because what you said is nonsense. The defense will bring in many things to try to connect with jurors of all stripes. Some are silly and most aren't. The defense is kicking ass.

The jury like all of us will take different implications from the evidence. I didn't take the gun reference as an implication to discredit him as a gun nut. I took at is as implication to the jury that if the accuser was as terrified as she testified, why didn't she text the roommate that would help her.

I get that. I think all who have responded to the gun aspect of this agree, and 2506s sarcasm threw a wrench into it.

Wouldn't they be high caliber people?

I just added a 45/70 Government, a 300 Win Mag, a .375 H&H Magnum to my collection and am looking at a .458 Winchester Magnum to add to my collection. That has to make me a high caliber person.

I suppose...than again you may be compensating...but I kid.

Another off topic thought. Reading all this makes me regret not getting into the cell service business at the beginning. The sheer number of texts amazes me. My daughters text each other from different rooms of the same house. They cycle through their friends probably 100 times each a day, maybe more. The whole enterprise just reeks of money. Sigh, another missed opportunity. BTW, I don't text because my eyes are too bad to read the letters and my thumbs are too big to push the buttons.

I bought a used 300 Winchester Mag when I was 16 years old. First time I shot it the recoil forced the scope back into the bridge of my nose and I walked around with a goddamn scab for a week.

Oh don't feel bad that just happened to my 13 year old daughter this past hunting season. Take that how you will? :thumb:
