She said she could change the information, but she said she doesn't see the need to. It was in reference to the fact that she incorrectly stated Johnson's age at the time of the alleged rape.

I have told this story before, but will tell it again, just so I can add my two cents.

When I was twelve, I went to Ohio to visit my father. On my first day there, I answered a knock at the door. There was a policeman with a young girl. He asked her if I was one of the boys that raped her. She said that I was. I was very confused and thank God that I had the sense to ask when this rape occurred and found out it happened one week before. Fortunately, I had kept my airline ticket and presented it to the officer and stated that there was no way I was involved. The girl immediately changed her mind that I was not involved.

Since that day, I have been skeptical.

My point? It is very easy to be labeled a rapist when you aren't.

Once again, I am not trying to diminish rape, just am skeptical of claims.

Why would I make this up? I hate to say it, but it has jaded me to every rape case since. I still think Mike Tyson is innocent. Don't know why I posted it, other than I was drinking. Not trying to derail the thread.

This is a complex matter for the two involved individuals and I'm hopeful this case will end without serious life long damage to either. As I understand the background, the lady picked JJ up, took him to her apartment/house, got into her bed with him, took off her top, and after intercourse said she was raped. Well, I am a bit old, however, I do have a memory and I would suggest that the only way intercourse wouldn't have occurred would be if the gentleman is gay or castrated.

A twelve year old rape suspect? Hmm... Plus having the "think on your feet" skills to ask "when did the rape occur?" Then produce a plane ticket as your proof that you weren't in the area. That's a little too "far fetched" for me.

I don't think JJ is guilty of rape . . . BUT . . . I'd personally be willing to help kick the crap out of anyone who decided it would be a good idea to drag this girl's name and reputation through the mud after the trial. What's wrong with some of you people?

Blast away at the prosecutors, DOJ, idiots at First Step and anyone else who gave this girl bad advice. Leave this girl the **** alone.

Just asking though, IF JJ is aquitted, and I'm in no way saying he will be, does he get a do-over for his good name having been dragged through the mud? Does all the Missoulian articles go away? Would he get the 2012 year of his life back that was royally screwed IF it turns out all he did was have consensual sex, something millions of people do every single day in this country? Again, not implying that is and what will be the final verdict, but if it is, what about his name?

Adam Duerk is a climber in action. He was on the school board and jumped off just in time to avoid the Apostle raise fiasco. Doesn't hide his intentions to run for office at some point. Volunteered his time to get the massive exposure attendant to this case while betraying his friend Pabst. Just a super job of marketing, who cares about actual facts, results and people!

If it turns out he is innocent, I think someone should advise her on the virtues of not lying, destroying a life, including her own, and, to get some deep therapy.
