Well this is better news for JJ, the team, and GRIZ NATION. I questioned the decision to being expelled, before having the facts. Regardless of reasoning, Engstrom made the most common sense temporary decision, under the circumstances. Legally, he also did not lead on, one way or the other. Engstrom gets an A in this aspect for this most recent update.
For those questioning why now, and why in the way he did? It makes sense to me. How long was he away? He just gets back, and has 1000's of emails, and voice mails to go through. The majority coming from the rumored Expulsion, of your teams starting QB. Couple that with God knows how many legal things he is working on. The legal crap could not be put off. Meanwhile, he decides to hold off the wolves, and buy some time, until fall camp, at least. He says what he did today, if for anything, to lessen the monotony of this nightmare.
I am sure he will still be plenty busy working on this, and all the other crap, but this is the one thing he had most control over. He also gave an honest regarding JJ's status with the school, and team. My guess is, if this is still in limbo come fall camp, JJ could find himself suspended from team activities, until more is known. If, they find out positives supporting JJ's side, it will be a good sign to see him at practicing in fall camp.
Anything less than that outcome, we just need to wait for the process to take it's course. Speaking of JJ, whoever is legal counsel is, they are doing one hell of a job, not making this worse for JJ, Missoula, the school, and state. Whoever they are, my applause goes to them.
Apparently Engstrom's counsel is doing one hell of job too. Had he said anything more, or less. it could have been used for O'day, Pflu, feds, and the accuser(s).
With that said. I am pulling for, and praying for JJ to be found innocent. Also praying the accuser is able to go on with her life, somewhat normally, without any ridicule, and has a good life too.
