The University had no choice but to suspend Jordan from the football team and keep him off the field. Putting an accused rapist on the field would be a monumental PR disaster. I think he should be allowed to attend all his classes and maintain his scholarship pending the outcome of his case. I am sure there are considerations that the NCAA regarding his extended eligibility i.e. Jimmy Wilson. Whether Jordan is guility or not of the crime should not be the consideration of the University at this time. The fact that he is accused is enough, right or wrong that is not the University's problem. The alleged victim is the one who brought the charges, made the allegations. She might be telling the truth, she might be lying or somewhere in between, but she is accusing Jordan of wrongdoing, not the University. Whether fans (aka customers) fully understand it or not, the football team is a money making entertainment business that needs to be fully aware of its image at all times, not only locally but nationally as well. The raw raw BS that they throw at fans (customers) to jump on board and be entertained is marketing at its best. Reality is there will always be another QB leading the team at least every 4 years, but a fan (customer) will be here for potentially decades. I laugh at the idiots that think the Grizzly program will succeed or fail based on Jordan playing or not. If you don't like that Jordan is not playing, then don't go to the games. That is the only way the University will ever get the message. My guess is that the stadium will be as full as ever this year, and I hope it is.
