I think there are people on both sides that are way too invested in this process. I said yesterday, that we have some screwed up priorities if people not directly involved in the case have this much emotion wrapped up in whether he is guilty or innocent.

I honestly agree with you... I got riled up when members of this community DEMANDED the accusers name be made public so that they could gather their pitch forks and torches and further torment her and her family... UGLY!!

. I don't see any cause of action like that here,
just a flake accuser that hid behind the societal prejudice that favors the accuser
and places the burden of proof on the accused in all things sexual nowadays.

Sadly, this was just the combination of unfortunate circumstances that came together to form the perfect storm.
The saga of Tiger Woods shows what temptations are out there for a 20 something males that achieves a degree of celebrity in athletics
.

So..... you honestly think this "accuser" found ANY societal prejudice that favored her in Missoula? Just read this forum and keep hitting that bong!!

by TEMPTATIONS you mean seeing a desirable girl and RAPING HER (allegedly)????... you have a sick view on things....

Oh come on now, you know she was just asking for it. They're all just asking for it.

I am not part of that minority that wanted that. I don't think anyone would be doing what she is doing if she did not think there was intercourse without consent. I think the hair people are splitting is whether the accused knew she did not want to. Regardless, I don't think there is any reason whatsoever to publish her name. I have not even attempted to google it either. I find it kind of sordid and voyeuristic to need to know.

I like the adds that are showing up over here now

You do know Google Adsense personalizes ads for the person and not the website, right??
You do understand that adsense does that by analyzing the content of the current and past few websites you have read, which means that after browsing a few pages over here on e-fizz that adds like the one above show up.

Two things:
1. It's an aggregate of all the sites you visit, which means

2. It's nice to know you really do spend ALL your time visiting eGriz and hanging out in the Johnson threads.

Again, it's your personal ad. I'm on eGriz a lot, but I get ads for buying apartments in Tokyo and doing taxes in Japan. :thumb:

but wouldn't this still be an infraction, ala Reggie Bush.

"As you know, members of the NCAA’s volunteer media enforcement staff unearthed evidence that two wannabe marketing agents financially supported Bush’s parents in San Diego while Reggie starred in Los Angeles. This financial support cost Bush his Heisman Trophy and justified the NCAA severely sanctioning USC." http://msn.foxsports.com/collegefoo...ned-todd-mcnair-ex-usc-assistant-coach-022213

Assuming JJ wins, they can get the plaintiffs to pay for the prosecution fees, correct?

This is a CRIMINAL trial. The state is not going to pay his legal fees.

Oh. My mistake then. I would thank you for the right answer, but you were a douche about it, so I won't.

Well OK then. I will be more subtle with my eye roll next time. I assumed everybody posting here was a legal expert who knew what the outcome of the trial should be. I said that in a baby voice...

Wow PartTimeGrizzly, you are a little sensitive. NWFresh...that was some funny sh*t!
I hope JJ is truly innocent but I also hope he pays the price if he is truly guilty! With that said, I would not donate to this either way.

does anyone have any contact information, I would like to talk with them......

Is there any question why there are multiple investigations into the program? You can't give the parents money, either.

If they're here because fans on a message board don't know the rules and ask stupid questions, I think we're fine. :thumb:

If I remember correctly, USC got in trouble because an agent bought Reggie Bush's parents a house. Can't give anything to the parents either. I hope that folks will still support the Johnsons if JJ decides not to play anymore and gives up his scholarship. I will, but not until he is no longer on scholarship here.

Pretty much, but even if he is acquitted yet leaves UM, as long as he is playing his parents still can't get any money from boosters, either. If he gets convicted (unlikely, but play along here) and UM drops him, people could probably chip in some money at that point. I'm not sure about the public's perception if UM boosters pay for the losing defense of a convicted rapist, but I believe money could be donated.
