As for head coach Philbin, his approval rating is not that surprising, given he has yet to coach a single game in the league. However, fans have heard a lot from the coach at the podium and in interviews with the press. During media open practices, decisions Philbin is making, like moving Jimmy Wilson to safety and changing Koa Misi from a pass rusher to a coverage/run stopping linebacker, seem to be resonating with the fans.

Meh, whatever. Keep a player at their position imo. Jimmy is not too slow to play cb. Once again another shitty Dolphin's coach I see

Jimmy is more of a free roamer than he is a coverage corner in my opinion and will excel at this opportunity. He will have more freedom to make plays as a safety and could end up being known as a huge hitter because of it.

So you're completely against position changes?

On a side note, Joe Philbin was a great OC in Green Bay. Perhaps you didn't notice, but their offense has been pretty good ever since he's been there. Of course having Aaron Rodgers helps, but calling him a shitty coach because he moved a bench player from CB to S is a little jaded.

I'm all for them in the bedroom.

I disagree! If a position change gives the player a chance to see the field more often.........

I think this will be positive for Jimmy. I can't think of a reason for a coach to make this move unless he thought that player's talents for a position switch would be better for the team as a whole. That suggests that Jimmy should get more playing time.

In one respect Jimmy is an enigma for a secondary coach. He has the body of a CB but not the on ball skills needed to cover as a corner in the NFL. He has the closing speed, instincts and hitting ability for a Safety but not the height for today's pro game. All in all he may be better suited as a safety.

Regardless, he is good enough that he needs to be on the field, particularly for the Dolphins, in more than a special teams capacity.

I was drunk. I don't even care if someones position is changed. I'm still kind of drunk though.

Did you not see how bad the Dolphin's safety play has regressed the last 2 seasons? I would certainly be opening things up at the position. Good to see, the Dolphins think highly enough of JW to put him in the running to get more time on the field. :thumb:
