How many kids have tranferred to Hellgate in the past several years? Like to the hoops team. Sentinel has a very good hoops transfer from the Bitterroot this year, but his family may have moved into town.

His dad played ball for the Griz. Great kid, great family. Colberg and Bray were both Sentinel area families. They left before Sentinel's new coach came in. Things are better now at Sentinel.

Let me make this simple. You can speculate and spread rumors all you want. What is a fine young man to do when he finds himself in the presence of others his age that are behaving poorly and unethically? What's a kid to do when the adults that are in charge of supervising and disciplining do nothing? What's one to do when only a portion of the boys on a team or kids in a group are doing what is best for the team or behaving in a way that reflects poorly on the group to the community? Well first you can try to ignore it and look the other way, then you might bring it to the attention of the adults that these kids look to for guidance. If that doesn't work you do what's best for your own future and distance yourself from these issues and get back to focusing on keeping your hands clean, being diligent about your studies and working hard to be part of a team that works as a team and with leaders that insist they do so.

Jesse just happened to make the paper but he isn't the first student athlete to leave Stevi recently for the same reasons and it looks like at least a couple other good kids will follow. We could only wish U of M will recruit him and more kids like him with his focus, determination, stellar behavior and morals.

Anyone who has children will understand this. If you are a good teenager, stay in the company of other good teenagers. Don't think for a second it wasn't a very hard choice for him to make, walking away at this point from a school he attended and was loyal to since kindergarten.

The only reason I tried to explain things was there is a certain poster here that seems to have an issue with Jesses parents and he/she has for years with no explanation other than he/she heard from a friend of a friend of a friend they weren't good people. (I know there is a little more he/she is holding back <<< understatement) They are good people, Jesse, Alycia, their parents especially and the whole family. Very down to Earth with great values.

So, with that said. Names or pointing fingers at any specific (named) person (especially a minor) would not do anyone any good. I was just on the defense because I felt I needed to. I wouldn't have said a word regarding his move or why he chose to do so if the knucklehead with the laughing faces would just keep his/her trap shut about something he/she knows absolutely nothing about.

The kid made a very difficult choice and he did it because he was raised to do the right thing....and for no other reason.

bewildered, i'm just a bystander in this cause i dont know sims or his parents, and frankly don't care as it's not my business. but why call out other people, including KIDS, if you don't like the rumor mongering and finger pointing going on in this thread. seems to me you just added to it, instead of squashing it.

Because Hokeyfine or whatever the screen name is has posted for years on several forums that Jesses parents are bad people and psychotic. I didn't call anyone out, as a member of this family I was called out to defend what this person is implying. Put yourself in my position. I guess I could bite my lip and let hokeypokey continue to suggest reasons why Jesse transferred or I could at the very least attempt, to set the record straight and leave this all behind without naming any adults or kids and adding fuel to the fire.

What it boils down to is Jesse had to make a very hard decision, but he made the right one.

The finger was pointed by this hokey character.....it has been for years, with no other explanation than he heard from a friend.....of a friend.....of a friend something or other or this or that.

Again, step back and try to put yourself in my position. If this hokey person could back up what he or she has been insinuating for years they certainly would have. How would you have approached this if someone was making false accusations against your family? If you answer you would start naming kids and exactly what they had done that's very sad. Kids are kids, good ones and bad ones. If you are looking for names you wont get them from me.

Regardless of what AG1 thinks, I'm better than that.

not jelous of anyone, nor an infatuation with any kid. i believe ive said in the past that i hope they have great college careers, don't believe i ever said they wouldn't pan out. they are too good of athletes to not have some sort of college career.

at this point i haven't talked to anyone who knows WHY Sims transferred...but these days i'm never surprised when someone does. it happens all the time. Sometimes kids move, and then there are other reasons...

I heard he didn't like some of the things other kids were doing and the coach and school wouldn't correct it. He did the right thing morally in his mind.
