Since he's not good enough to play for the Griz, at least he's got USC and ASU to fall back on. Good thing the PAC 12 is there to pick up our cast offs.

He would have had a tough time making it on the Griz roster. USC and ASU could use him. They're absolutely turrible. :puke:

Sims is going to play tight end in college. He played running back for Corvallis this season, and oh gee, they had their best season in god knows how long....I HIGHLY doubt that was a just a coincidence. He was also hurt for a portion of the season. I'm pretty sure anyone saying he isn't "good enough" to play for the Griz must be from, or have ties to Stevensville lol

Or ties to MSU.

Sims sister is playing for the Griz. He could just sneak in and become a Griz. A few on the coaching staff I am told were concerned about him and his ability etc. Did not have a great football year. I'd take him but I can't coach girls flag football....

No disrespect to 3-star TE Jesse Sims at all, I've never seen him play a down of football, I've only seen him play basketball for Stevensville (very well by the way) against BC.

However UM already has a 3-star TE in Woody Brandom, and I am extremely high on him! I've broken down video on him, and he has future FCS All-American written all over him. Not to say that Sims doesn't/wouldn't. Like I said, never seen him between the lines outdoors. I would like to land Sims, very much so, but I am very secure with Brandom a lone if we don't.

Ha, never thought of that. Some Stevensville fans actually booed him when they played Corvallis this year (when his name was announced) He has great friends and former teammates in Stevensville he hangs out with. Good kid whomever gets him and as clean as a whistle off the field. Truly a humble and hardworking young man.

He doesn't like to stress about things which is one of the reasons he committed fairly early. The only reason he pulled his verbal after Riley bailed was to get his name back out there right away as no one at OSU could promise him anything at the time.

Who knows where he will end up, he hasn't ruled out anything.

Yes, and Brandom is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to this amazing recruiting class. I honestly didn't expect the commits this year that we got (if they stick around.)

First of all everyone has some good points on Jesse, however I feel most people put way to much emphasis on size, speed and how athletic a player might be. For Corvallis having a good year my point would be the three losses they had came by the hands of the top three in the conference Butte Central 42-12 Dillon 48-21 Hamilton 42-27 not a season to brag about. Jesse is a prime example of a freak athlete that was a huge under achiever in high school both in Stevi as well as Corvallis. Now I am not saying that he is not worth going after but I do feel he is a player that has a high RISK or high reward. I was able to watch him play several times and was always hoping to see him just dominate the player across from him because I did think the Griz had a good shot a getting him, I cant say that I saw that like we all would've hope.
Some of the best players in recent Griz history were not the ones with all the hype coming out of high school. Lets not forget these are just kids and all of them have a lot of high hopes and just want to make it big. We are just a bunch of know it all's that sit and type big online. GO GRIZ!!
