Other teams have their numbers. But this article indicates that single-digit numbers are so coveted that some coaches will use the lure of a jersey number to land a recruit.
I know we've got some Griz who wear the same number, one on offense and one on defense... But I thought it was kind of cool how some coaches in the story use numbers as a way to encourage work ethic and performance during off-season or camp. Does anyone know if the Griz do this? And is that why we have def/off players sharing a number?
