Jerome finds achilles heel

Don't disagree but continue to be amazed at the number of EMPTY seats for the first 1/3 of the 3rd Quarter at every game.
 
Griz world is falling apart! Tailgating takes precedence. I think it's George Bush's fault you lost. Where is Barak when you need him!
 
This complaint is getting lame because it's been going on since the first game at Wash-Griz. That's since 1986 for those of you who don't understand. In that time, the Grizzlies have played some GREAT third quarters. The crowd being out at the tailgates for third quarter is just the way it is at UM. I feel like those of you complaining about it must be somewhat new to Griz football.

I myself do not go to the tailgates at half because I do like to see the entire game. But I have never hated on anyone who does. And for the record, in the greatest FCS game ever played, the Griz marched right down and scored a TD against App State in 2009 playoffs and the stadium was half empty. They then forced a 3-and-out by ASU on the next series, all to a half-empty stadium. This notion that the late-arriving third-quarter crowd has a negative impact on players and coaches is retarded.

Only been watching Griz Football since ohhh about 1978! Hardly new. The example you give was with the GRIZ driving for a TD (that was a great game, I was there for the WHOLE game) not App State driving into a 80% empty endzone. Don't Wash-Griz fans brag themselves up for being loud, causing false starts etc...kind of hard to do when your not here. What is SO hard about getting food a beer (or two if your fast) and being back in your seats in 20 min?

This same complaint is on Bobcat nation every other week. Tailgating is part of what makes the games so much fun. Many of the fans who pay big money in booster memberships, season tickets and tailgating spots really don't care that much about football. It's a social event and a great way to spend a Saturday. I've been to games at both stadiums and think the tailgating is a big part of the appeal. People don't drive 4 hours just to watch a game. They go for the whole experience.

Did you see Bobcat Stadium in the 3rd qtr today??? It looked pathetic with the stands maybe half full. But things will never change at either stadium.... And I'm not sure that's a bad thing.

Don't disagree, however don't you have 2,3,4 + hours before the game, and at least another hour after the game for tailgating...been doing that for years myself.
 
I'm watching the Oregon game on ESPN right now. The 2nd Half in Eugene just started and something funny is going on... Autzen Stadium is actually full? Don't they know they're supposed to be tailgating still?!

The crowd is driven by the play on the field. Some of the players didn't give a $&!+ so why should all of the fans.

You have obviously never lost a buzz and then tried to get it back after the game. I thought I heard Moore say that if there were more people in the stands, he wouldn't have fumbled. TM was heard mumbling something similar when he threw his interception on the next series. Shaw said the same thing when he shanked the punt. Our safeties were heard complaining that the 12th man has made tackles when they don't wrap up. I would love people to pound a beer or 2 quick and get back in the stands too, but your initial post is really quite odd. Jerome planned to tie the game at the beginning of the 3rd period because he knew that was the best time to strike due to a smaller crowd? Listen to yourself man.

Supporting the Griz is more important than making sure I stay drunk... apparently not high on your priority list. Spoken like someone headed for the list of ever growing MULTIPLE DUI offenders the courts keep unleashing upon the rest of us.
