Jeff Choate new MSU Head Coach

doc3kgt, you're really standing by that? You would rather your Cats NOT make the playoffs if they were gonna get bounced by the four-time defending national champs in Fargo? I just can't defend that mentality in any way shape or form. And I highly doubt a majority of Bobcat fans would defend it either. At least I hope not. My god, that's just insane. I wonder if Chad Newell wishes he would have been playing last Saturday, regardless of how it was going to turn out? My guess would be, and I feel pretty confident, his answer would be HELL YESS, with a few explitives thrown in as well.

No of course not. I was using that argument to exaggerate the griz loss, a la CDA. Like I stated earlier, considering the new program and coach, the griz fared very well. But with the avalanche of shit talking here, you know I'm going to bring up that embarrassing loss in Fargo

it's just more of the same song and dance HGF. i recall when we were in the playoffs a few years ago and the griz weren't, we had griz fans coming over running their mouths about how we embarrassed the state when we lost in the playoffs. it was asinine. this is no different and likely won't end any time soon. it's like daycare in here.

Hav, it's worse than that. What Doc3 said likes up perfectly with the majority of Cats fans, as evidenced in their own poll on BN that asked a very simple question:

Would you rather make the playoffs but lose to the Griz?

Would you rather beat the Griz and miss the playoffs?

In true Bobcat fashion (which perfectly aligns now to what Doc3 stated) like 56% of the posters answered they'd rather miss the playoffs as long as they beat the Griz. Can you believe that! And that is coming from their supposed die hard fans spending time and energy on BN. It's a sickness over there and as GrizMD said, there is no remedy. Gonna need more cowbell I think!

ILTC, not arguing that at all lol. I know exactly what you mean, with the exception being, I don't think any Griz posters would say they were glad they didn't make the playoffs that year. Other than that, you are one hundred percent spot on.

Bigsky33. Dude. Give it up man. Choate was a great hire and the future for MSU football is bright. Come back to the light side and enjoy this victory. As soon as you stop entertaining them and leave, the reality of the embarrassing ass pounding they just took and the fact that they have coach bobby shitt as their head coach will set in, and the annual 9 month circle jerk between cda, everett and the rest of these clowns can take over ejizz. Jerk on fellas, jerk on. :jack:

Doc3 you've been eating retard sandwiches again it seems. You talk smack about a loss in the second round of the playoffs while your team and coaches and fans sat home and watched it bc your team failed miserably to meet any expectations, again. How dumb do you have to be to talk smack about that. Then you did it again when you mentioned Stitt, the first year coach from a D2 school who wasn't supposed to be able to do jack sh$t but instead marched his team into the second round of the playoffs. If you're going to talk smack, make sure the team you root for holds up its end of the bargain before you do. From pre-season #1 to another epic failure. You should be proud.

You are right, MSU sucked it up big time this year (well the D did, the offense was top 5 in the nation in multiple categories). However, one could argue that it would have looked better to miss the playoffs rather than take that ass pounding you did in Fargo. It was like watching Jake Bleskin throw all those picks in the brawl last year....except this was on ESPN, and on a national stage... But seriously, is coach bobby shitt going to keep brady "pick-6" gustafason as QB1, or does he go with another "gun slinger"?

So help me out here, how did the mighty bobcats last visit to Fargo go?

The last time MSU played in Fargo, I'm fairly certain MSU won.

So let's be honest here, I'm glad you guys got a good coach so our hand was forced to get a good coach as well.

The guy says all the right things. Hopefully the product on the field matches the words.

But, your program is lil' bro. You're not actually debating that point, right?

Yes I am.

Of course I am bias by my experience, which is I could've played for either the Griz or the Bobcats. I chose MSU because I wanted to study engineering. Never knocked UM, would've been proud to go there if I wanted to be a journalist or lawyer or whatever. But I distinctly remember the recruiting trips, and even a Griz coach telling us about the plans around Dornblaser and how UM is going to catch up to MSU. At that time, the Cats had won 10 of the last 13, and 16 of the last 21 Brawls since the Big Sky formed.

There was no question what the better program was. But even then I wouldn't use the term lil bro for either program the way you guys use it now.

Pendulum swings

Guess if you want to think of yourselves as big brother to compensate, that's your therapeutic choice.

Both programs are in a good place now. Both programs suffered too much embarrassment off the field for our great State to feel proud. And both programs have taken the steps to right our respective ships. Both Delaney and Ash are top notch influences, and I am grateful for both of them, for the sake of my home State. I hope Stitt and Choate continue to run programs that all Montanans can actually be proud of.

MSU won 21-19 in Fargo

MSU is 21-13 all-time vs NDSU

MSU has won 2 of the last 3 meetings vs NDSU

glad I could help you out

So let me get this straight. There's ten damn pages of this thread and not one freakin post about how good coach Josh Choste looks in baggy khakis??

That new coach has some special khakis to fill, but he will bring his Gator, Bronco, and Husky khakis to give it a go!!
