This is a good reminder that all of those players we root so hard for, and so hard against, are still just 18-22 year old kids. And 99% of them are good kids that we would be proud to associate with.

I think it's a great strategy on their part.

I think it shows a lot of moxie and swagger from these SFA kids, I mean really, for them to go out for a beer or two and mingle with the locals and the Griz Nation, what better way to put it all in perspective?

Let's face it...there will not be a lot of friendly faces when they come out of that tunnel today, but now they know that the 25K screaming at them, are just people as well.

Where else better to go than Red's to accomplish this?

Um, Austin City Limits is a TV show.
San Marcos is 30 miles from Austin and has some good night spots but if the Griz ever came to play TXST I'd head up the interstate to 6th or 4th streets for fun.

actually it is a concert series that gets shown on tv, but don't let that get ya stuck in traffic on mopac!

Strange but true - I had a dream last night about the game. The griz killed SFA as they were playing about 20 guys short. The dream was odd as I was on the sidelines, but it was snowy, windy and cold. I finally asked someone in SFA gear why they were playing people out of position (offensive players on defense, etc.) and he said that the coach gave a 1game suspension for those at Reds.

Interesting how the mind works to mold different thoughts into a dream.
