Jack Tuttle likely to Montana - per Lucas Semb / SIKE!

Kris brown is the starting QB next year. Done deal.

How much fun is it going to keep saying "done deal" all year. Every correspondence with Semb on Twitter needs to include 'done deal".

Whe Huot is the qb and throws a pass the call needs to be "x receiver catches the Huot potato for the score'!.

The "done deal" tag is pretty funny, and I anticipate using it (in the extremely unlikely event that I have any sort of correspondence with Semb). Your Huot gag kinda tanks though. Maybe if he really puts some mustard on one and zings it in there, ala Nolan Ryan? Also, is correct pronunciation of his name close enough to "hot" for casuals to get the joke? Honest question... :thumb:

So are these kids already talking with other teams before declaring the portal? That would be like leaving your current job before you have another lined up! I would assume if the guy is on Scholarship as soon as he declared that gets pulled? What about education??, Degree?? NCAA has not thought this through, needs some major tweaking.

Wouldn't that be the opposite? What am I missing?

You're right. That would be a better use. I actually have no idea how to pronounce his name. I'm assuming Hu-aut?

There's an answer to this question, and somebody knows it...hopefully that somebody is paying attention to this important conversation and weighs in:) But whether we can use it in the proposed way, or if something more sensical emerges, I think the "Huot Potato" is a thing with too much momentum to be denied at this point...

Tom Carter to the Cats. Now thats a DONE DEAL!!

Wow. 8 pages of all fluff based on bad info. I honestly think someone saw he was talking with UM and mistakenly thought they were talking about Montana. Either that or he really was talking with Bobby...... until he found out he coached um and not MSU. lol.

Once again, you are misunderstanding how an athletic scholarship works. When they sign on, that is a one year commitment both ways. The player can not play for anyone else in that year and the school can not back out within that year unless other conditions are met. Declaring for the portal is not one of those conditions. They do not lose their grant by declaring for the portal. It's a one full year deal. They can finish the academic year as long as they are a student in good standing. Even if they were to voluntarily leave school, the school wouold not have a grant to give until the following year.

Clear as mud?
