Jace Lewis throws all the shade

Hauck and the other coaches didn't establish a work ethic in Olson. The message clearly articulated in Jace's tweet is that Olson earned it an that no coach gave anything to him.

Where did I question Olson's work ethic?
Forgive me, Olson was presented a better opportunity by Coach Hauck, and Olson earned that better opportunity. No matter how one wants to interpret or say it, coaches decide who, when, and how to feature players.

Fortunately for Olson, Lewis, and Hauck, they all played featured roles with the GRIZ. Personally, I appreciate and respect each for their time, efforts, blood, sweat, and tears. I'm thankful for all of them.

...sounds to me like Olsen had to earn the opportunity to play while the other was given the opportunity
to play...i.e. Bobby broke his own rules when it came to his son...I think this is what players are seeing..
Robby was never taken out of a game to see what other players could do...were they given the opportunity
too..NO...I'm a Hauck supporter but I can see the double standards...maybe his time is up?

bigtyme, but I have always thought Hauck was a petty ass and have never had "love' for him. But making random accusations on twitter about him padding his kids stats isn't exactly a great look.

These guys all watch a ton of film and can count past 10. You think they can’t tell if somebody is getting credited with more tackles than they should, or tackles that should go to a teammate? Jace wouldn’t have said it if there wasn’t some truth to it.

Great post! Yes, these players watch the post-game film, and would know that Robby was getting bogus credit for tackles. Not a big mystery, as some naive posters claim.
But for me, some of us who know players, and parents of players, hear the inside rumblings long before it is made public. I would never post or quote on eriz things I have heard. Does not mean that I haven't heard them.

There is another big issue for me, and it was discussed a couple of weeks ago. That is, during time-outs, it is ONLY Robby meeting on the sidelines with his dad, discussing things. If you watch college football, you will see the entire defense, or at least several of the defenders, in a group discussing strategy during a time-out. How do you think the other 10 defenders feel when only Robby is allowed to meet with Bobby during a time-out?

Finally, there is no way a free safety should be calling defensive signals. He is several yards off the LOS, and the players on the LOS may not even be able to hear him, especially in a loud stadium. Every team I know uses a LB to call defensive signals.

Did I not mention Robby not sitting for mistakes, situations, etc? Feel free to read my original post again. I mentioned it! So, I'm not arguing either side. I honestly see each side.

Couldn’t agree more. Is Jace petty? Or is he the only one brave enough to speak out against injustices against not only our current and former players, but every defensive player in the FCS. Staying silent is how that kind of behavior is allowed to continue.

THIS

It’s almost as if some of us have been saying this for years. Mentioned Bobby was strongly disliked by Jace (and other current/former players) in the wake of the Cat debacle and got told I was a liar/spreading rumors. Jace’s tweet just confirms a fact has been widely known for some time- there is a virus in this program and it starts from the top. Bobby, Pease, Rosey are all known to verbally abuse players to the point of ridiculousness. That hard ass old school mentality simply does not resonate with players these days.

Getting the old band back together for one more tour almost never works… knew this wouldn’t end well.

This is a true fact-from several first hand accounts. It’s evident the effect it has on the team as well. The constant string of F-bombs and other profanity from this staff, building “self respect through humiliation” is not a good look in 2022 or for the University. Several players left this program and I expect several more will because they grew up and the coaches have not. And screw you Bobcat trolls- you have your own coaching stuff issues to worry about.

Jace is spot on and everybody knows it.

Including Cat fans. Not tolling here, far from it. When Cat fans pointed out tackles being wrongly credited & piling on late they were chastised as being sore losers, whiners, etc. Chase stood up & now most here and over the divide agree that the stats are inflated. I see 2 problems with the Griz. Issue one is defensive scheme. A good friend in Missoula pointed out the obvious - do you really want a defense that rewards the safety & allows him to make more tackles than your linebackers? Especially when UM is known for its stellar linebacker tradition? Issue two is the big daddy - do you change scheme, staff, or both? Full disclosure, I never payed the game. Chase did though.

For the record, it was Stitt that didn't play Olsen when he could. There were a number of relatively good backers on the team at the time he ws coming up, so yes, I'd say he earned it. He was special teams all conference as a sophmore, and likely could have played defense a lot more than he did. Hauck was very complimentary out of the gate, and played him right away.

Yikes. Jace. Sorry. Mixing up Griz greats.

Justin Ford’s dad is responding to Lewis’s tweet, and several others, with less than nice things to say about Bobby and Robby. It just keeps getting worse.

If I wanted to throw fuel on the fire, I could. But choose not to. I think many of us who know players and parents get what is happening.

This dumpster fire is so fun to watch as a Cat fan. Poooor little grisslies! 😂😂😂😂😂

When you troll like a teenager you make all Cat fans look bad. You can do better than this.

Justin Ford's dad has been complaining all season about Robby. He also has been complaining about Bergan. Malik, and Justin not getting enough playing time (I somewhat agree with this). It's also worth mentioning that he never takes off caps lock while tweeting, and has tweeted multiple times about the race of our coaches.
