Jace Lewis throws all the shade

Good luck in Retirement, votb... I played in the stands of Dahlberg as a kid in the early 80's, more concerned with playing "Hide and seek" than watching Larry Krystkowiak or any other player for that matter...

I think Griz fans are the classiest and best... We love our programs and argue with each other like we are mortal enemies.

That is just how we are. I wouldn't change a thing about it, and for your last broadcast in the Zoo, you might have to leave your payment methods in Idaho when you plan your trip. I think if you venture into the MO Club or wherever at 2130, you might be liquored by 2200.

I’m sure you do. Trust in the current staff has got this current team jack shit the last 3 years.

So trust in one hand shit in the other

Me personally I’m sick of logging into QB club every Monday and hearing Bobby spew the same bullshit out of his mouth and watch the rest of the big sky keep playing Especially when we have every advantage when it comes to facilities and fan base. Gotta pay the piper some time. And I’ve been a big Hauck supporter

Hasn't done jack shit?? He brang us back to the playoffs... are you senile or just have a horrible memory? Before Hauck our last good team we had was in 2011. I'll take what Hauck has done these last 3 years over anything Delany or Shitt did... lmao. Go root for a different team.

Are you smoking CRACK? Is Hunter your dealer?

It's called the INTERWEBBEN... Even if YOU don't know, which YOU clearly exhibit, YOU could lookup that since Hauck 1.0, the Griz made the Playoffs 4 times...

THIS year doesn't even count, since everyone with a functional noggin knows the Griz bought their way into the playoffs...

I’m guessing (know) that former players from my era (Hauck’s first tenure) after seeing this tweet think Jace Lewis is a loser who never won anything and has no idea what it takes. What a horrible teammate and “leader.”

Ok. I know how things operated in my Army Unit in Peacetime / Wartime... I also know how the same Unit operated in post 9/11 constant Wartime after I went back to said Unit.

It was different, with a lot of the same Soldiers promoted, although they had completely different ideas on how to run the Unit. We didn't all get along with each other 24/7. We were with each other 24/7, and it got chippy to say the least because we are Humans... There was extra tension with me being a "new" guy outranking many of the guys that joined when I was gone... Human nature...

Point is, unless you or they are ingrained in both Units, as I was in my example, "thinking" has no basis for anything. You can think all day long, but unless you are a fly on the wall, thinking is just that. It's He said / He said.

Nobody in your era played with Jace. I don't know if they know him personally or not, which would expand the topic, but why would he post it in the first place? To get back at Robby or Bobby for some spat they had?

He posted factual stats about Dante, which can be researched, and at the same time took aim at the Hauck's, which in my eye is absolutely fair game, considering the obvious fact that Robby played every single down in his entire Fatherly provided coddled career, and THAT will cause some to be CHIPPY.

Does that make Jace or any other player from this era that doesn't kiss Bobby's ring a "Loser"?

The best part of this thread is that a #scumcat fan started it, on eGriz, on a day during which his favorite team played a playoff game, proving that he watches twitter for Griz-related stuff.
*Vin Scully voice* “And that’s gone unnoticed.”

^^^ The most important post in this dumpster-fire thread...

I don’t think a single person is arguing he shouldn’t have been a starter.
Who do they think should have started?
I'm honesty kind of curious who the guys he's talking about were back when RH was younger.

Did RH play at NAU or was he a redshirt? I was thinking he played there as a freshman.

Show me a program that doesn't have some level of dissatisfaction.

OURS!!!!

just kidding we are pissed we only had 58 yards passes today

I know a GRIZ PLAYER from the 90s that is 1 pissed off MOFO about the griz program right now

please tell him "argh!" says hi!, and is curious to know what happened to brady. it might take a him a minute to figure it out, but i'm pretty sure he remembers me from my crazier days...

Players haven't liked their coaches for as long as we have had organized sports. Look back at Petrino at Carroll. Those old players either hated or loved him. Same with Van Deist and all the success he had. Bobby is similar to Petrino in that players either hated or loved him (that is from conversations I have had with former players). Like Petrino throw in a kid playing and those emotions are amplified. It is a balancing act for coaches and the kid playing. I feel bad for Robbie is this whole deal. He is still just a young kid and he did play hard every game. Forums like egriz and twitter just just make the whole situation worse.

Who exactly do the dipshits think should have started over Hauck? Players seemed pretty damn happy when they voted for him to get the hardest hitter award... also the kid is always damn near in on every play, never ever gives up and plays with more heart than I've seen from any griz player in recent years. If all the kids played like he does we would have had a hell of a lot better team. I can tell you that. All you haters are f###[#] stupid, point blank.

People seem to forget that Dante was nothing but a special teams guy for 2 years under Stitt and became a starter when Hauck took over. The trolls from over the divide used to bitch about Dante’s numbers being inflated as well.

My take on this. Lewis feels Robby's stats are inflated because he hardly ever left the field. He played regardless of mistakes, play situations, and personnel. Meanwhile, other players were yanked for mistakes, match up, schemes, etc.

Many of us have questioned why Robby is on the field in obvious passing situations, or not sitting after bad mistakes?

On the other side of this, I get the division within GRIZ Nation, players and fans. Robby is 1 of those players who opponents hate playing against, yet would love on your side. He also brings an attitude and intangibles that many fans and players find difficult to quantify. That's why those things are known as immeasurables.

Meanwhile watching Dante, fans and players his play spoke for itself. Would any of us question Olson's results and play? If anything, in Olson's time here, we questioned, why wasn't he utilized more prominently earlier?

What's being lost in this? The fact that the same Coach Hauck recognized Olson's talents weren't being utilized and created a prominent role for Olson. A role in which Olson shined and delivered.

So, where's the credit to Hauck and the staff for doing what they did to make it all possible for Olson?

I think, things balance out. Unfortunately, not many people are willing to balance both sides, but their side is all that matters. Sounds like our political system.

Hauck and the other coaches didn't establish a work ethic in Olson. The message clearly articulated in Jace's tweet is that Olson earned it an that no coach gave anything to him.

Forgive me, Olson was presented a better opportunity by Coach Hauck, and Olson earned that better opportunity. No matter how one wants to interpret or say it, coaches decide who, when, and how to feature players.

Fortunately for Olson, Lewis, and Hauck, they all played featured roles with the GRIZ. Personally, I appreciate and respect each for their time, efforts, blood, sweat, and tears. I'm thankful for all of them.

Couldn’t agree more. Is Jace petty? Or is he the only one brave enough to speak out against injustices against not only our current and former players, but every defensive player in the FCS. Staying silent is how that kind of behavior is allowed to continue.

THIS

It’s almost as if some of us have been saying this for years. Mentioned Bobby was strongly disliked by Jace (and other current/former players) in the wake of the Cat debacle and got told I was a liar/spreading rumors. Jace’s tweet just confirms a fact has been widely known for some time- there is a virus in this program and it starts from the top. Bobby, Pease, Rosey are all known to verbally abuse players to the point of ridiculousness. That hard ass old school mentality simply does not resonate with players these days.

Getting the old band back together for one more tour almost never works… knew this wouldn’t end well.

You are 100% correct. You know what really chaps my ass? The next morning after we are embarrassed once again by NDSU, the same predictable ass hats start a thread demanding that any posters who dare to express their opinions that we need changes in the coaching staff be banned by the moderators. And it takes a former All-Conference wearing the hallowed #37 jersey to call Bobby out and expose what many of us have known for a few years. So many front-runners on this site, afraid to state the obvious until it is in-vogue to do so.
