Will DeBoer lose his job? A lot of posters think Bobby should after a 13-2 campaign. Just wanna hear people's vibe on this one. There's gonna be a "bring Saban back" campaign starting now.

The dad of the Indiana qb rowed for Brown and is now a physician. The mom played tennis for Miami. The dad was a high school qb. Played high school with the current Miami football coach.

The QB wasn't getting much for offers out of high school. His first offer came from Yale.

The QB's cousin is 6'4", and a senior in high school rower.

"Hello, I am Gabriele Mendoza a 18 year old junior at Christopher Columbus High School and a Miami, FL native. I am currently 6' 3-1/2" tall and 177 lbs, and still expected to continue to grow. I believe that strong team work, accountability, goal setting and time management are key to a successful rowing team. I am dedicated to pushing my mind and body to the limits to improve as a rower and teammate.

Why rowing? I choose to start rowing during the pandemic as a fun sport. I have grown to realize that rowing is a sport that when you put in hard work you get better results, becoming faster, stronger, and more mentally capable to take on the next challenge. I bring a positive attitude to rowing and to my school. I believe that being positive will help me achieve my goals on the water and in my future career.

Rowing has been apart of my family legacy and I am proud to continue it . My father and uncles rowed in high school and for Division I universities, U of Miami and Brown U). One of my uncles also rowed for the 1987 USA Jr. National Team and won gold in the U19 Worlds in the 8+. My grandfather and great grandfather also rowed for the competitive sport clubs in Cuba.

On a separate note, I am also inspired by my cousins who are QBs for a Power 4 Division I university and a Heisman Trophy winner. I see how their work ethic and positive attitudes have helped them succeed."

He would be safe at 13-2, but is 11-4. He wishes he had done as well as Bobby. There will be squawking now, but he won't get fired, is my view.

I would love to be a top level coach who got fired early and got his incredibly huge buyout. That's work I would hope for. Who would want the pressure and hard work, when you could just spend your tens of millions.

Saban wouldn’t be able to do any better. He was great when money was being handed out under the table. He was no dummy and got out when the going was still good.

Hold up. Is it like NIL changed things to actually level the playing field somewhat now that player payment is above board and programs with money don’t also have to have elaborate covert payment systems to get top talent? Nobody predicted that at all right here on eGriz.com. Nobody.

And you will learn alot about getting fired and never making or having any money. You are destined for the bottom of the barrel, it seems to be.
You keep saying that but I know in the 1st qtr of 2026 I will make more than you have in your lifetime. I will pick that barrel anyday

Queue the "Alabama didn't belong in the playoffs" tweets and texts, right?

I mean, that's all I've seen on twitter today about Texas Tech...

There was actually a talk that he would be fired if he didn't beat Oklahoma in the first round, it's why Michigan went after him pretty hard before going for Whittingham.

Yeah, I heard that. With crazy boosters, NIL, and the wacko fan base down there, it just seems like something is gonna happen. Gonna be a nice buy out for him.

I think his saving grace is that who would they replace with him with new that Whittingham is off the table? The fact that there's no other coaching candidates available is probably the only reason he will keep his job.

No other coaching candidates is some funny shit.

If Georgia loses tonight to a team they beat earlier in the season, in a semifinal game, and Kirby Smart is 12-2 (not 13-2), should Smart be fired? Miss. St. is in Georgia's backyard. And, as you know, backyard is a really big deal and open factor.

Why would anyone think Smart should be fired regardless of the outcome tonight?
