It's not just UM...

HA! I'm far from upset.

Quite the contrary, actually. I'm in a no-lose situation. If the GRIZ host, the nation sees a great and passionate fan base in a top-quality facility, supporting a program with a long and proud BB history.

If sac hosts, the bsc and sac gets exactly what they deserve: ridicule.

Either way, UM is one step closer to leaving his joke of a conference. Upset? More like damn near so happy I could pee.

Too bad your wearing a catheter....

And where is that exactly?

Big West?

Mountain West?

I guess the WAC always has openings. :thumb:

To be perfectly honest, I'd take the disbanded WAC over the cluster fuck that is the BSC.

Oh, besides the question of whether or not the janitor gets overtime to set up all those folding chairs in the well, I have one other question:

Where are they going to hang all of sac's banners?

Wait. Never mind....

Ha! And watch out for Steve "Nails" Blakely, small forward for last year's Sac Rec League Champs, the "Arden Way Aardvarks." Nails is 41, but he still thinks it's senior year over at Mira Loma High. All he needed was one scout! One scout, to take notice that he was a hustle guy. He brought the intangibles that didn't show up on the stat sheet. Sure he played below the rim, but he had a high basketball IQ, he was crafty, he wasn't afraid of sacrificing his body to draw a foul, and that last season at Mira Loma, he provided a huge spark off the bench. You'll know him from his Justache and various knee and elbow braces/pads. Win your first BSC Conference Tournament game, and Steve will likely want to "shoot for the court," meaning you will have to endure him short-arming 3-balls from NBA range for 20 minutes before he gets all pissed off and kicks the quarter panel on his IROC-Z before going home to yell at his wife and watch Brian Cardinal game film.

Solid!

Oh I should have mentioned, now that they don't have FB they will want members with men's soccer and/or baseball. Shouldn't be too much to ask of UM, no?

Yeah, and obviously, being the classy members they are, they neatly pull the mosquito netting up into the rafters. Take note, SuckSt.

I wonder if they will host.

They seem a bit too parasitic to do the right thing and give it to the runners-up. But this ultimately won't be much worse than a few years ago when the tourney was at Buttlair-Handcock. Remember that?

I was at every game of that tournament. UNC did a good job, and the atmosphere was better than I expected. The biggest problem was NAU and the GRIZ getting whistled every time a defender even breathed on Beitzel. Sad part was, NAU got hosed more than the GRIZ did. Very impartial officiating that tournament.

It's now named Bank of Colorado Arena (yes, I know it's not a real arena) at Butler Hancock. It's small, but when it's packed, it gets really loud and provides for a great atmosphere. We get a few games a year against good opponents and it's a great place to watch a game. Glad you enjoyed it, but I disagree the refs treated Devon better than any other player.

As an NCU fan, of course you disagree.

I'm not an NCU fan. I have no idea what school "NCU" is.

If you think holding the tournament in a rec center will be embarrassing for the conference, wait until the conference champ gets a 16 seed, wins the "play-in" game, and gets to face Kentucky on national TV.

BigSkyBears once threatened to kick my ass. True story.

Makes me chuckle every time I see him post on e-Griz now.

I expect a UNC/NCU (I prefer NCU because UNC to many, will always be U of North Carolina) fan to think that of the officiating. Most fans of any other BSC team will likely agree the officiating that tournament, heavily favored Beitzel. The shame of it, that UNC team was more than capable of winning the conference tournament without one sided officiating. Every player not name Beitzel was getting hammered, and the refs let them play (which I liked), yet anyone even breathe on Beitzel, here came the whistle.

BSC champ will not be in a play-in game, and will not be a 16 seed.

And the officiating in that tourney an NCU was the worst I've ever seen. I've never seen one team get as beneficial officiating as ncu got that day. It was pretty obvious the bsc wanted some new blood to win that year.

Maybe they thought a few million people in Denver would all of a sudden begin caring.

http://www.bracketmatrix.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

A consolidation of the "Bracketology" services list Sacramento State representing the Sky as a 16 seed, but I think that any of the top four (Sac, UM, EWU, or NAU) would likely avoid the play-in game and be a 15 seed with EWU possibly garnering a 14 seed because of their early season play...

Hope you're right but I wouldn't rule it out if anyone but EWU makes it. Sac's RPI is 129 and UM's is 153. The conference RPI ranks in the high 20s. I've seen a few mocks predicting a 16 seed play-in game.

They always do. And if every team picked to win the one-bid conferences actually do, the bsc winner will likely be a 16. But that never happens, and inevitably there are half a dozen teams with much lower RPIs than the bsc winner who get auto births.
