I've been following Griz football much longer then you think. I remember when the mighty Griz lost against a team made up of Marines at San Diego.

My, that was my era; I hoped everyone had forgotten. The Hugh Davidson reign was painful. A promoted-from-within mistake because the AD had no money to pay a competitive salary or relocation. Those teams 46-48 years ago are remindful of a SacSt team just about any year.

My friend, We don't define our season by the way we play the Griz.
Granted, the Griz, have for sometime been the top team in a very fine high scoring conferense.
But the time will come when they won't be top dog. That's not a fact,but it's just how things seem to work out.

As I see it , the problem with Montana is perception, parents are not going to encourage their kids to go to MU when they read so much bad news about a team out of control.

You can hope and pray that it turns out like you said, though. Whatever helps you sleep at night.

How do I know they are so disliked, I've never heard a good thing said about them yet by anyone in the league except a few Griz fans.
With the new teams in the league, I would say about a 7 and 4 season should do it for the griz.

First, there is no "Dear" Lodge in Montana. Second, I don't recall the officials' names being printed in the programs (I admit I could be wrong on that, but...). Third, I would be quite certain that not all the officials would be from the same town, no matter what. Fourth, it's "throw," not "through."
