It's never too early for smack talk...

How'd you all do in the playoffs? How'd it feel to raise that conference championship flag? Oh...never mind.
Playoffs?!! Playoffs?!!

Unknown territory in Sacramento. Not even a sniff.

My, that was my era; I hoped everyone had forgotten. The Hugh Davidson reign was painful. A promoted-from-within mistake because the AD had no money to pay a competitive salary or relocation. Those teams 46-48 years ago are remindful of a SacSt team just about any year.

My friend, We don't define our season by the way we play the Griz.
Granted, the Griz, have for sometime been the top team in a very fine high scoring conferense.
But the time will come when they won't be top dog. That's not a fact, but it's just how things seem to work out.
I've been following Griz football much longer then you think. I remember when the mighty Griz lost against a team made up of Marines at San Diego. You've come a long way since those days, a poor season or two and things can go bad real quick. Ask Notre Dame after they let Lou Holtz go.
As I see it , the problem with Montana is perception, parents are not going to encourage their kids to go to MU when they read so much bad news about a team out of control.

And yet none of our recruits from this year's monster recruiting class have backed out, and many parents have voiced intense support.

You can hope and pray that it turns out like you said, though. Whatever helps you sleep at night. :coffee:

If you repeat it EVERY year, one year they'll finally be right.

Dear hayshakers,
I never pray that bad things happen to anyone. That's carrying things way too far.
Montana is probably the most disliked team in the conference, not because they win, they play fair and square, but because of their attitude.
If you can keep them out of jail you'll do just fine.
How do I know they are so disliked, I've never heard a good thing said about them yet by anyone in the league except a few Griz fans.
With the new teams in the league, I would say about a 7 and 4 season should do it for the griz.

Griz envy at its best.

This guy is a joke. He is like a Vanderbilt fan trying to talk smack to an Alabama fan.

+1 I agree even though we've bumped heads a few times. Nice to have you posting again. Livens things up.

As long as most of your games are at home, you'll be ok.
Just remember Growler, great name by the way, 7 and 4 and no better, unless you bring Dear Lodge Officials.

Many were saying that last year, weren't they? SacSt would kill for a 7-4 season. It's only happened once in the BSC and that was 12 years ago.

Got some cash you wanna risk?

No cash Growler.
I remember one game some years ago, when we were playing Montana, an official went to through out a yellow flag against Sac, instead he through out a flask he had in his pocket. I asked my wife to see the program, sure enough the officals were from Dear Lodge Mt.
"May as well go home Mom, theirs no way we are going to win this game."

First, there is no "Dear" Lodge in Montana. Second, I don't recall the officials' names being printed in the programs (I admit I could be wrong on that, but...). Third, I would be quite certain that not all the officials would be from the same town, no matter what. Fourth, it's "throw," not "through."

I call BS on your story, but I fixed it for you anyway. :thumb:

I believe the state Pen is in Dearlodge Montana. The flask thing was put in only for a laugh.
See you in the playoffs, if you get lucky. Remember Growler it's, 7/4
