Notice how little words you spent on his VIOLENT, GUTLESS, and SICK crime. And how many you spent describing him as a nice guy that people liked?

Christ. Committing a crime like that is not a "mistake".....it's the act of a goddam monster.

Sorry, just don't agree that a mistake on one night is makes someone monster, or any of the other things you called him. You are welcome to your opinion, and I am welcome to mine. See earlier post by 5700 on Donaldson.
I wonder what the girls opinion is on the matter.....or if you would even give a shit

Seems like a silly question. If you are so concerned, I assume you can ask her. I don't know who she is. She is welcome to her opinion. I am welcome to mine. Free country.

A mistake is forgetting to tie your shoes and tripping on the laces.

Rape is not a mistake.

Rape may be more than a mistake, but it is also a mistake, especially date rape.

:?
I'll stay positive and just assume (and pray) you've never played the (dating) game.

Have 5 kids. 2 daughters. One a UM grad. One still in law school. Have talked a lot with that daughter and her friends about the JJ situation and date rape. Have followed the DOJ/Education policy and college sexual assault policies closely for a number of years. Have followed a number of cases fairly closely., especially college ones. Followed the Stanford swimmer case fairly closely. Have read 100's of articles and studies on the subject. Sexual assault has become too much of a political issue, in my view. My guess is that Trump will pull back on some of the extreme, in my view, DOJ/Education policies.

What's your expertise or level of knowledge on the subject?

....thread derailed...and no one can....point fingers at.....75....

Seem like your average pedestrian thread anyway. Growlie would be proud.

So you're suggesting the thread has become average?

Well, we've come full circle on this one, boys.

I think it's actually regressed to the mean. And become beyond pointless @ that.

It appears he understands rape is not a mistake, which indicates his experience and knowledge far surpass yours.

Defense lawyers frequently refer to mistakes in defenses and in arguing for lesser sentences. It was in the Stanford swimmer case. Here is another example:

"“We all made mistakes when we were 17, 18, 19 years old, and we shouldn’t be branded for life with a felony offense and branded a sex offender.” This kid got 2 years of probation for his sexual assault.

In many situations, it would be a mistake, and perhaps even malpractice, for a defense lawyer not to argue or admit that his client made a mistake. Sure, others disagree, but the plain fact is that many sexual assaults are certainly mistakes (and they may well be more than that). Don't know why you are flipping out by what is a very common reference to some sexual assault situations. Are you really saying that these guys haven't made mistakes?

Forgetting to tie your shoe isn't a crime, it's a mistake. Raping someone is a crime and a mistake. When referring to Donaldson it would be more accurate to say "he committed a crime and paid, is paying, the price." Not, "he made a mistake and paid, is paying, the price." That greatly trivializes what he did.

Now this is pure speculation. I was an angel then as I am now. Everyone who knows me can attest to this....

Not gonna bother reading this whole average, off-season thread...but, if you want to make eGris great again, you must talk about NDSU more. Prolly a minimum of every 5th post should do.

BTW, talked to a few Montana fans in Playa Del Carmen 2 weeks ago. Good-natured, beer-drinking folks. They were excited for the season to get going. Of course, it was an all-inclusive resort. The NoDakers showed the skinny Euro's how to eat (and eat, and eat, ad infinitum).

That does seem to happen in every "Rape is a mistake" thread on eGriz.

I think some people forget how many one and done playoff seasons the Griz have had over the years.

As for basketball, it'd be difficult to find a better 10 year stretch in the 100 year history of the program.

How many? Virtually none where the first playoff game was at home.

Really?

1997: One playoff game, a loss at McNeese
1998: One playoff game, a loss at West Ill (by 43 incidentally)
1999: One playoff game, a loss at Youngstown
2002: Two playoff games, a home win, a road loss
2003: One playoff game, a home loss to West Ill
2005: One playoff game, a home loss to CP
2007: One playoff game, a home loss to Wofford
2010: No playoffs
2012: No playoffs
2013: One playoff game, a home loss to Coastal

That's during what most would consider the glory days of Griz football. Frankly, it looks pretty similar to what we've seen the last few years.

The other thing to consider, of course, is that most of those "down" periods were followed by deep playoff runs. Give this staff the same chance others got. Good things are on the horizon despite the "death spiral".

The loss YSU in '99 was a home game. Also lost to Delaware at home in '93. So since WGS was built we've lost six opening round games at home. '93, '99, '03, '05, '07, and '13.

No one has to give this staff a chance, they've already got one. Unless you count the 2011 team being stripped of its playoff appearance, we haven't missed the playoffs in back to back seasons since 1991-92. That's 25 years. This staff has a chance to not let that happen this year.

The loss to Delaware is what sold me on Griz football, wow what a game. Okay Dave sure helped sell me a lot too but the way that game played out was amazing and even tho the Griz didn't win that day I'm sure they gained a lot of new fans besides just me that game.

Go Griz

Huh, wonder who brought up that term?

Jeez, read the article.

Once again, 75 is proven to be "on it" and ahead of the curve. Son't understand how some of you just refuse to listen. As I said previously, 75 provides more good info on UM than everyone else on the board combined. Yet, some of you continue to pick or attack, and muck up the board.

Engstrom has severely wounded UM. The board of regents were asleep for several years. Bullock too. Where's the leadership?

Egriz posters like Everett and Ursa who have supported what Engstrom has done, with the U and its athletics, are complicit in the decline of UM, the university and UM, the once powerful football program. Nice job, Everett and Ursa--and those like you.

You idiot! You couldn't be further from the truth. Actually, I'm Bryan Kessman and EG is Dylan Kessman. Over the years, we have watched as the "members" of this site have mercilessly and maliciously maligned the good name of our little brother. We have long planned our revenge and at long last we have brought UM and it's football team to its knees! You're welcome for the "Death Spiral".

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!
