DT Peoples with two felony counts of delivering marijuana on May 7. He got a notice to appear, a ticket, within the last couple days for a Feb. 2 appearance. Per Idaho State Journal.

Delivery in May. Got his 'ticket' this week. Released on his own recognizance, to appear in court Tuesday. Good thing he didn't wait for his ride on a cold, rainy night in a residential construction site. But, this is Bannock County, whose jail population is overflowing to neighboring counties. Originally signed be BYU, so the good' ole Mormon boy connection is a possibility. :roll:

POCATELLO — Bannock County Deputy Prosecutor JaNiece Price said Thursday that Idaho State University football player JonRyheem Peoples was served notice that two felony counts of delivery of a controlled substance — marijuana — had been filed against him on Monday. Pocatello Police Chief Scott Marchand said the charges did not appear on local police blotters because Peoples was not arrested but was served a summons.
Marchand said the university took action against the defensive lineman immediately.
Steve Schaack, assistant athletic director for media relations at ISU, said Peoples was suspended indefinitely from the Idaho State football team Monday for “violation of the Idaho State University Department Code of Conduct policy.”
Price said Peoples is set to make his first appearance in court on Feb. 2. Price said the case was sealed to protect the identity of witnesses. According to court documents, the charges stem from an incident that occurred on May 7, 2015.
Peoples is a 2012 graduate of Rigby High School. He redshirted at Brigham Young University in 2013 and transferred to Idaho State in 2014, but he sat out that season. He started six games for the Bengals in 2015 and played in all 11 games, racking up 24 total tackles, two tackles for loss and one sack.
In November, ISU head coach Mike Kramer predicted that Peoples would play a big role and be a major contributor along the defensive line in 2016.

The fact that you are citing tv newsrooms and shadey football staff / program practices in an attempt to make fun of another program is incredibly stupid. When MSU makes 60 minutes and has a best selling book written about its "shadey" practices, let me know. You could join Donald Trumps campaign with that kind of blatant stupidity.

Distributing drugs is treated pretty harshly, high bail therefore they stay in jail(flight risk). Who would prosecutors NOT want locked up with the bad guys? Your informant, someone they got a good case against but turned into their snitch to incriminate others. Probably wore a wire a few times in the last year. Dead snitches can't testify, therefore write him a summons. He may want to disappear after all the trials at which he'd have to testify. No anonymity on a football field. Just a guess.
