The administration and boosters demonstrated they have zero loyalty. And “the greatest fans in the FCS” will jump on-line and social media to attack you personally because they think they know more about football.

So why would you come here?

I am amazed how many people say this is an amazing job, while simultaneously eating our own. Posting angry, negative takes on a message board is not going to make any difference in the team. Just like some fans remaining hopeful on a message board isn't going to actually make a difference. But the anger and viciousness isn't a great look for us.

You do realize this is fan football forum? Have you ever looked at another one? They are all pretty similar. All schools have passionate fan forum posters........10 or 20 of them.

Many of MSU's wanted to get rid of some of their coaches during and after their close road loss to the defending national champs.

Yep! You've arrived!

Without a doubt, you don’t understand football. You puff about getting beat by good teams and act like that is great success. If you think Chambers is as good as Mellott, you are crazy. Watch out for Weber. Will be nice to see Cats lose in conference. It’s coming. Sooner or later.

Well, when you have a chef who's fakes it till he bakes it, you get fake cake. Bad hires have set this program back a decade & the only way out is to tear it down and build it the right way. That takes time, patience, & competent committed coaches. Griz Nation's been patient and the staff's had plenty of time. What was the third thing needed again...?

First, You messed up editing the quote tags and in your reply.

Second, you’re demonstrating exactly why no decent up-and-coming coach would come to Montana. Stitt faked his way into being the head football coach at UM?

That’s just dumb.

You’re partially right though in that the program is in need of a rebuilld. When it comes to Stitt though, for some reason, fans like you either don’t understand or won’t admt that Stitt was doing exactly that. He was in the midle of a rebuild when his contrat wasn’t renewed after the 2017 season.

Stitt turned over the roster and shaked up the coaching staff after the 2015 season. And he was rebuilding the program primarily by recruiting out of high school. That takes time, especially considering he didn’t have all the scholarships to work with when he started.

And it was exicting to see the players he was bringing in (Gresch Jensen, Samori Toure, Sammy Akem, etc.). And yes, 2016 was difficult, but 2017 was better. You could see a young team working through adveristy (losing Phillips to career ending injury) and learning to compete (losing close games late to EWU, Weber, and State).

But people like you who are calling for a rebuild now won’t acknowledge the rebuild that was taking place back then. Instead, you throw out petty insults and make insulting personal attacks.

Which is all well and good, but then ask yourself — If you were an up and coming college football coach, why on earth would you uproot your family and leave a good job as a D1 coordinator or a D2 head coach to risk your entire career trying to rebuild a program like Montana’s?

The administration and boosters demonstrated they have zero loyalty. And “the greatest fans in the FCS” will jump on-line and social media to attack you personally because they think they know more about football.

You're right, & I agree with almost all of the above but I wasn't referencing Stitt at all, just the current staff. I don't like calling for new coaches & we all know it takes time to build a program - lots of time. I do think it's time for a change though in this situation. Why? I don't like the D scheme Bobby runs, I think it's nearly impossible for teams at this level to land a quality passing qb let alone a backup, so why not embrace a running option qb system? I believe dominant teams run the ball and stop the run. Building lines at this level is so much easier than building a technical D or passing O. Bobby seems to be firm on what he wants to do though, as he should be. I respectfully disagree with the direction this team is heading and it's bearing out week by week. Not bashing the Griz in any way here, or Bobby for that matter. I just think and have for a year or so that UM can do better.

Why is it that every opposing QB seems to look like a Heisman candidate against us then?

Funny seeing Playerep come on here and talk about undercutting the Griz. Thats all he did under the last regime.

Ferris State is a very good D2 team that lost a close game on the road vs the 12 FCS team in the country even though they out performed the Griz in just about everything but the score. To put it into perspective, what would NDSU or SDSU do against the number 12 team(Alabama) at the next level up?

Hauck is a garbage coach and a garbage person. I said it when he took over that he inherited a program that was at the top and kept it going. However he has had two at taking over programs and he is 0 for 2. There are no excuses. These Players are nobody else's but his. These coaches are all his, no holdovers.

Lastly the same handful of people on here who still light a candle every morning in front of there poster of Bobby in a speedo hanging on there bedroom wall are the same people who ran Stitt outta town after going 7-4 with a back up freshman QB and year away from seeing his first recruiting class as upper classman. Seems Haucks best years this time around were with teams with a majority of Stitt recruited players.

Chambers had a great game against Weber. The offense and defense as a whole put on a clinic in that game. Hoops also said the Griz OL is better than the Cats OL on a few posts on here. I don't think it is anywhere near close. The Cats OL was opening large holes all game against a very good Weber defense.

Technically - Germer is a hold over. Stitt hired him and BH retained as I recall.

Big mistake by both of them...

Ha! Good question, I watched the FS game only this year. I'm old school; I like 4 D lineman with their hair on fire. Blitz if you have to, but pressure from your front 4 solves a lot of passing game issues.
