Is this USC's Kiss Goodbye for a national title?

Losing to oregon state with 4 minutes left, 21-14. Even if they pull out the Win, hard for me to imagine them not dropping with as weak as the Pac 10 is this year. Add insult to injury it looks like Malauga (sp?) appears to be done for awhile too. OUCH!!!!!!!!!

KISS it goodbye, pick by OSU, they are at the 2 yard line now!!!!! Thank God for a playoff format at our level. USC's season is DONE, as for a NC is concerned. If this were in GRIZNATION the fire Hauck threads start. DO USC fans ask for Carroll's job now?
 
Great win for OSU. 27-21. Notice how OSU sucks at kicking, too? I just like watching USC lose. It doesn't happen too often.

Thought for sure that USC was coming back after the 3rd Quarter.
 
It looks like Oregon State found a very good rb too. USC could not get their hands on this kid. I think he is like 5'6" and near 200 lbs. What a game by Oregon State! I would hate to be any team facing USC rest of this year and next too!!!!!! I have a feeling they will be looking for REDEMPTION!
 
Yeah, they will fall a ways, but if they win out I fully expect to see them in the NC game. The powers that be almost always see to that. Glad we have the playoffs.
 
It's WAY too early to count U$C out. If the title game involves teams with one loss, the Carrolls could easily be there.
 
A loss always hurts, however there's a lot of advantages for USC:

- It's early, usually early losses wash out as the season goes by.
- The SEC is almost too good to have an unscathed team come out of it
- If Ohio State can recover and win or take a share of the Big 10, their stock will rise
- Obviously USC is now Oregon St fans, b/c they'll want the Beavs to win a whole lot more games now

Carroll has won National Championships, recruits the area well and is competitive every year in the PAC-10, he also WINS his "playoff" games.

Hauck and him have absolutely nothing in common other than they are both white males that coach football, the similarities end there.
 
I agree totally with Alpha on this one.

If you were to compare a football coach with Hauck you might choose Marv Levy. Tons of wins but nothng to show for it.
