We have lost approx. 50 % of the roster. We have 2 D2 commits and 20 freshman. Looking at the current roster it consists of mostly freshman. So we will need to rely on the portal again, but what will happen there is the big question that we will all wait to see the answer.

We didint have a huge junior class thjs year, but significant contributors. Bigger sophmore class and some significant contributors, and some that made contributions. We do have a TON of rsF, going to be sophomore next season, who i hope make a big jump this off season. Great athletes, played special teams. Of course, We will need to fortify through the portal in a few key areas.

Is this the year we win it all?

Is this the year we get a half dozen all-Americans from the portal?

Is this the year all the portal losses realize they made bad decisions?

Is this the year more Never-Played-The-Gamers stop showing that in their posts?

Is this the year the Jets and Raiders play for win the Super Bowl?

Every year is a rebuilding year for every FCS team. Most coaches have acknowledged that you build your roster year to year. We have been transfer-heavy for a while, a lot of our best contributors have come from the portal.

Yes, we are going to have a lot of new faces next year….but that’s life in this era of college football. Post Covid-shirts probably has contributed to this as well.

The reality is, we are in, and have been in, the same boat as every other FCS team for some time now. Come September, it’s still just football.

50%? That’s like 52 guys. We’ve lost 8 in the portal. Are there really 44 seniors that graduated?

29 listed, so of course he's wrong. And it appears we may see one or two of them get granted another year.
I did not say it or did I count them because no matter if it's 29 or 39 it's way to many and the rest are mostly freshman or incoming freshman. Count them and get back with us.
