I don't know why, but I have wondered that too and there is pretty obviously a reason. Nobody has worn a 1 since Bobby came back. I'm not sure what the significance of that its, though.why no Griz player wears the number 1? I apologize if this was in another thread. Does anyone have an answer?
Is that more troubling than why no one wears 27, 41 or any other number not used?why no Griz player wears the number 1? I apologize if this was in another thread. Does anyone have an answer?
No one is allowed to wear 1.Is that more troubling than why no one wears 27, 41 or any other number not used?
I'm not sure I see the significance of no one wanting to wear 1.
Because we have had players wearing 27 and 41 during Bobby 2.0, but nobody has worn #1.Is that more troubling than why no one wears 27, 41 or any other number not used?

Thank you for that explanation. I hadn't remembered that at all about Bobby 1.0.The only person who wore #1 in Bobby 1.0 was LV and that was because he was a senior and already had the number. Bobby hasn't and still doesn't allow any player to wear #1 because it can be considered an inherently "selfish/above the team" number. i.e. I'm #1, etc.
I don't really agree with it, but I can see where he (Bobby) is coming from where it is all about the team 110% of the time.
Wortham was wearing #6 in spring ball, so I don’t know exactly when he would have been wearing #1Wortham was #1 when he first arrived and by the start if the season was #6.
At Eastern I assume.Wortham was wearing #6 in spring ball, so I don’t know exactly when he would have been wearing #1
He never wore it but that was the first number GoGriz had listed for him. I was updating rosters all off season for the fantasy league and that was the first number i had for him till GoGriz switched him to 6.Wortham was wearing #6 in spring ball, so I don’t know exactly when he would have been wearing #1
I promise you he wore #6 in the spring game. I’ll tell you the funny story which is the only reason it stands out my mind. My wife and I are walking down to find a seat in the lower part of the stands. She was ahead of me and decided where to sit and I was looking down on the field and had the roster they handed out and picked out Wortham. As we are sitting down, I pointed him out and said see the guy in Keelan’s number, he’s going to be a stud. As I’m telling her this I’m turning towards her and right over her shoulder is Keelan. He says you’re right. He and X and Fontes were all sitting together. He never wore it but that was the first number GoGriz had listed for him. You're both right, and wonderful people. He transferred to us in January, and they just kept his number the same it had been when they updated GoGriz, I am sure it was a glitch or mistake, because he was already #6 at EWU. It had been corrected and updated by the time the spring game rolled around, and he was wearing #6 in the spring game, but Bama was just talking about specifically when he first joined the team.I promise you he wore #6 in the spring game. And I’ll say I didn’t go watch spring or fall practices so I have no idea what his practice number was, you could absolutely be right, and I’m sure you know what the roster has listed on go Griz. All I can speak to is him wearing it in the spring game.
