Most of our past coaches have had Dan Worrell spend some time working with our kickers. I wonder if that still happens?

I don't believe in bad/beyond bad. You make it or you miss it. If Lider hit his low driver and bounced it off the helmet of the oncoming rush and it went through it goes in the stats as a good kick even though it could be argued that it was not a "good" kick. There's no stats for close, shit luck or almost.

I don't care what you believe in, just answer the question. Was it well-struck and a pretty good kick, or not, in your view? Everyone knows the 46 yarder was a miss. No one is arguing that it was good. No one is arguing stats. If you refuse to respond, I will take that as agreement with me. I'm not going to let you be evasive on this.

I thought it was pretty damn clear. The stats say miss, it is a BAD kick. I don't know how you could have possibly missed in everything I said that I thought it was bad. I have no room for gray here and if gray makes you feel better then that is great. As it stands we had a good 28-20 win Saturday, but you know what would have really settled in and made me feel good? A 37-20 win with 3 good field goals. After all, almost is good in horseshoes, but if I ring one up your close isn't worth crap.

This confirms what I've though all along, and that is that you often don't know what you're talking about. Sure, every pass that isn't caught is a bad pass or beyond bad pass. Every race that isn't won is a bad race or beyond bad race. Every shot that doesn't go in the basket is a bad shot or beyond bad shot. Every hockey shot that doesn't go in the net or is saved is a bad shot or beyond bad shot. Every gun shot that doesn't kill an animal is a bad shot or beyond bad shot.

I guess I can meet you half way, out kicking game is almost good and we almost got those field goals and I'm sure it won't cost us a game when it's important to be more than almost. I'm almost a marine, but I'm a teacher. We almost have 7 National Championships. The Bills almost won that Super Bowl with that extremely well struck field goal that didn't go through the uprights. Stats and wins matter, we had a lot of feel good almost time a few years ago when we were 5-6. Almost is what losers talk about while the winners are still playing. He could have "struck the ball well" and kicked it sideways into the student section. At some point this season we are not going to be the ones that got lucky and won we'll be the ones that almost won...and it will be because our kicker struck the ball well and it went wide right.

Dupyer, by that rationale, you don't EVER say "the Griz got lucky, and ALMOST lost"? right? There's absolutely NO SUCH THING as an ALMOST LOSS? right? A win, is a win is a win is a win whether the head coach was Don Read or Mick Delaney. Correct?

I'll answer PR's question. Greenburg made a solid boot with the one that hit the upright. Hitting the upright means it had the distance, that he has the leg, and that he struck it well from that distance. It was a well struck kick and at least everybody in the section I was in was ready to cheer thinking it was good.

Does anyone really say that? I don't care who the coach is. That is exactly it a win is a win is a win all day everyday. Kickoff return at the last minute against South Dakota last year goes in the books as a W which is the same column as the shit stomping we put on Portland State.

I know that Shaw has as slower delivery on his punts, but if you also look at the line splits on punts we have huge line splits and then put the three blockers up in front of Shaw. The defense has a free run at the blockers and meets them with force and pushes them back. Why don't they reduced the splits and slow up the potential blockers up at the line of scrimmage, that would give Shaw a little more time to get the punts off and reduce the chance of a block.

Greenberg is a very good kicker from less that 30 yards! Lider is as wild as the west texas wind.
Simply use Greenberg if it is under 30 yards. If it is longer go for it with a run or a pass.
Take two kickers to N. Dak. Leave Lider home to practice.
Quit making a barking dog out of the kicking game. Period!
Have Shaw roll out on shorter kicks. Also have Shaw kick toward the boundry and keep runbacks to a minimum. Why have him punt right down the middle?
Speaking of punting Lider is a decent punter. Kicking crooked might be right up his alley!

Do you know what happens to a kick if the kicker plants too close to the ball, too far from the ball, too far forward of the ball or too far behind the ball? What if he is a millicount early or late. What if his first, second or third stride is too long? Or too short? Or any other combination of the three steps is too long or short. What happens if the ball is tilted too far forward, to one side, or back. Have you ever thought about whether it makes a difference for each kicker that the same holder is used? Well join the club because apparently neither does anyone on the Griz special teams staff.

Didn't Georgia Southern recruit a soccer player back in 2012 the week before playing North Dakota State in the playoffs because their kicking game was so terrible? If I recall, they put him into the game to try and kick a 50-yard FG to tie the game with time running out and it was blocked...

The question is, is our kicking game as bad as what Georgia Southern's was in 2012?

I played intramural soccer against Raul Allegre. He could make the soccer ball do anything he wanted: straight at any elevation, low hook, high draw, low slice, high fade, low and high knuckleball, and do that with either foot. He could do the same with a football on a tee. PR judges kicks on whether they were a "good strike", Every kick of Raul's was a good strike, no matter what he was trying to do with the ball. Teach these guys these skills, have them practice these drills instead of simple straight kicks, and putting one through the uprights will become second nature, and the easiest kicks they try. The operative and key word is "good" or "good-looking"--not almost. Why can't you just admit that Greenberg's 46 yarder was a good-looking kick that was inches right and hit the upright? Why is that so hard for you to admit? Perhaps you're just a dick.

Can you admit that it is "good" that the Griz have gotten to the national championship 7 times? Or can you not even admit that? Speaking of losers, you seem to be one, and really don't understand the game. I've thought that all along, but your recent comments have confirmed it. Childish too.
