One word...Idaho!
we can compete for the Old Pine stake...a whole week end of homecoming treats, from witch hunts, to river bobbings, culminating in the lynch mob from UM fans from every corner of the known world. A great time for all, except the Idatrash...

We could become the Salem of the Rockies!

Move up? Stay put? Drop down?..Anything's possible.

Only a dim bulb would mention Idaho in the same breath with the Griz...I can recite no fewer than half a dozen examples why any comparisons are invalid, but I've grown weary of repeating myself. So, do your own search of the archives. I'm busy.
You're right; here's the best one: Montana against Idaho -- 27-55-2.

Just now heard on sports radio that the BCS is about ready to do a 4 game playoff. That should seal the deal for those that must have a playoff or die. :thumb:

Soon we can meet the non BCS teams in the middle....that will lead to a much more regional affiliation for us with true peer schools like Wyoming, Colorado State, Utah State, and Nevada.

Unless of course you look at the five games since 1996 when Idaho moved BACK up of which we won 4. and the last 4 when they were still in our conference of which we won all of them.

The drive to move up IMHO is driven by the older boosters who still think Boise State is our real rival. Despite their success at winning games, the move hasn't earned them much respect.......

I believe I fall into the category of "older booster," and I very definitely do NOT think Boise State is our real rival, nor do I support moving up in the current scenario of NCAA football.

I fall into that class myself and certainly don't support a move. But you gotta admit there are more than a few who are and who do.

I don't even consider Boise State a real university...more like a college prep with a small group of well healed supporters to fund a football program.

They were indeed a two year school that became a four year school soley to play football. They actually built
their athletic facilities before their library.

How exactly would that work, 4 games

I could see 3 games or 7 games but 4 games doesn't make much sense unless they are going to have a 3-4th place game too, and I don't see why they would do that.

Think he meant 4 team playoff - two games total to determine national championship. :ugeek: :thumb:

Well a 4 team playoff would require 3 games total, not 2 :ugeek: :thumb:
